Is it, though? Or is that our perception due to social media? It would be interesting to see exactly how many people are aware of it outside of a specific demographic. And how many people actually own one.

This is what persuaded me to get it. I had it in my head that they were so basic and ubiquitous that it didn’t make sense to purchase. Then I actually looked around my social circle of fairly affluent women and only a small handful (maybe 5 of 50+) had it. Same with Chanel or VCA. Social media, you tube and Pf give the impression that they are over the top popular, but I don’t think that’s really the case.

When I look on my Instagram’s explore page, everyone has a 5 love bracelet stack with 2 JUCs - oh, and a Chanel bag.

In real life, even most of my friends who can absolutely afford these luxuries don’t buy them and instead spend on other priorities like their kids.

So I agree, if one is only considering Instagram then yes it could be the basic uniform of a lot of influencers (and questionable if these items are even authentic) but IRL is a different story.

Love the Love bracelet, and it will be in style for many years to come imo.

I never purchased one, because I don't think I would get used to sleep with it. Does anybody have the same problem?

I LOVE it. I WANT it. I don't NEED it.

And yes, I agree, it SEEMS ubiquitous because of Instagram. But like others have mentioned, is that a reality? No. Instagram is not. I deleted my instagram for this reason. Also, it was such a time suck.

Anyway, back to the topic. I don't have a love bracelet but I have been looking at it VERY hard. (I'm looking at you, pink gold bracelet with diamonds) Its just difficult to justify that purchase in the current climate.

I love the LOVE, and the ubiquity of the bracelet wouldn’t stop me from buying one even in 2020 - I do agree that it seems to have really upswung in popularity (at least in my social circle) in the last few years. That being said I wouldn’t buy the classic YG no diamonds especially if I wanted to stand out amongst the crowd (I find that just tooooo oversaturated) and also I don’t like the idea of not being able to take off the bracelet.

Same with me. Actually I live in the Midwest and have never seen another person wearing one, and I've only met one person who even knew what it was.

i agree. it's classic and timeless. def worth the investment :) i'm in nyc so it's quite popular here. but i think it's simplistic design will be in style always.

I'm in the Bay Area in an affluent area, however, I have only seen it on one person in my spin class. I agree that it's a beautiful understated gold bracelet that will remain a classic. It truly goes with everything I wear and I enjoy that it's under the radar for most people--it makes it feel extra special to me.

IDK I think most everyone can recognize the LOVE bracelet. It's very well known if you ask me.

I have to say I agree with a lot of the above comments. Despite the significant disposable income of my social circle very few have a the LOVE (or a Rolex). Definitely not as ‘common’ as you’d think and much more understated than a huge diamond tennis bracelet for example. Personally it’s a yes from me. It’s classy compared to ostentatious IMO x
