Posting for first time there, i was looking for a LV/Supreme discussion to add my 2 cents.
I'm upset about this release for many reasons.
I'm a long time customer at LV (not "vip") and appears to also be a Supreme fan.
LV didn't want/like supreme crowds for obvious reasons (image, reputation etc), but in this case why collaborating with Supreme, knowing the crowd won't change and that resellers will JUMP on it?
Why only benefiting friends and family or VIP when most of them can either afford resell prices or didn't even know about Supreme before and are only jumping on the hype to impress?
I was at the so called LA pop up mess, and it was NOT a mess due to the crowd but to that stupid security policy to make everyone come back at 3 am to line up.
I have pushed with my SA to get through with my order, I pre-ordered first day of release, i called my rep many times, he has no "visibility" at all...
I understand that some will always be privileged and I accept it, but when the whole release is at 95% privileged, this is wrong for fans of both brands who are just regular folks.

Welcome to the forum! You've raised many good points which I agree. I got the things I wanted in the end of so I'm in no position to complain but I do feel that the entire launch was not handled well and I understand why it upsets a lot of people. And I want to make a few points too.

- Kim Jones is a big of streetwear and he obviously loves Supreme. Maybe his design team was aware of the hype surrounding Supreme, maybe they didn't, but I don't think they anticipated the scale of the launch to be this big. LV was definitely NOT prepared for all this and not until they debut the collection at the FW17 show they know how popular this collab would be. I mean they know it was gonna be popular, and I might be wrong, but I don't think this scale of popularity has ever happened, so essentially this is a first for LV.

- Up until July 7th, no one was allowed to get special treatment at LV. It was first come first serve, location not disclosed until launch day, completely aligned with the spirit of Supreme. But then, LA happened (I don't know what went down, but a company like LV was most definitely not happy with police being called and made the headline), the website got "hacked" when products info being uploaded, people lining up outside their luxury stores 4 days in advance, until then they must realized they don't have the manpower and support to handle all that so they had to start again.

- Someone said Supreme should be the one who produces/ distribute the merchandise. Knowing LV, I'm sure they would NEVER allow that to happen.

- At this point, any kind of releases, either online or in-store would still create the same mess, and loyal customers were complaining. Like I said, many companies operate with the 80/20 rules of sales. You have to take very good care of the 20% that make up for the majority of your business. So maybe they moved it back to the way LV know how to do it, taking care of returning clients. I'm not using the "VIC" term anymore here because I learned that you don't have to be a VIC to place this July order.

- I disagree with the mentality that rich people shouldn't be benefitted because they can afford to pay resale. Sure they can, but their money didn't drop from the sky. They worked hard for that money, they bring in a large amount of business to Vuitton, before and possibly after this drop, so why shouldn't Vuitton take care of their most loyal clients? ;)

I'm not saying LV should NOT reward them but look at how it's being handle. Most of those vip are ordering 10 items, re-ordering, etc... taking every opportunity to show off their stuff, when most of them never heard of Supreme before. This is unfair to Supreme fans, and LV regulars (like me) who did not have the "privilege" of spending hundreds of thousands at LV before or knowing a friend of Kim Jones. LV should at least call it off and not raise some hopes for weeks for nothing.

I think LV will eventually send their remaining inventory to the store or online. Most likely, they will restock them like last year's Japan limited fragment collection.

Only a small amount of orders being granted all 10 items and the majority was only allowed one order. Most of the orders being accepted now, or even friends of mine who placed her order on Saturday were approved for only half or a quarter of the 10 items limit and most good stuff is already sold out.

My friend received his confirmation number yesterday he got all 11 items approved.
