it is all black! The problem is probably lighting and also due to protective sticker on the hardware (which is not peeled in my photo in the February 2020 purchases)
Still some horrible lighting at home now but hope this helps to illustrate!

I’m in the same boat. I also noticed that Gucci and Celine have similar bags with this over hang on the straps. But deal breaker for me.
The strap seems longer than the original so not sure... it’s very tempting but I’m trying to be patient and wait for empreinte
The Boursicot BC is another impractical beauty that does not hold a phone. It is $2760 USD and the strap is detachable but cannot be worn crossbody with the strap. If it can’t fit my phone, I can’t bring it home. It is available in some stores now.
