I am relieved to hear this- you are right, H has a storied past and should be family-owned and not be swept up into a huge corporation. On a different note, Hermes has changed since the company chose to offer items online. I realize it was inevitable in order to remain viable in the digital age but I remember when the company before it had an online presence- it was smaller (and more exclusive).

I see Tiffany is part of the LVMH stable of companies- not happy to hear this.

I agree. LVMH is SO giant now, it’s hard to keep up quality and service the bigger you get. I love my LV items and have only had 1 true poor quality clunker (returned!) but I have to say I don’t hold my breath when opening an H order re quality as I do with LV. Hopefully they are working on it - massive growth always leads to growing pains. I’m sure H is different too, as every company changes over time. Luckily I only like a few LV pieces right now, last year I went mad with LV! My wallet (LV of course) needs a rest.

I went to the international site (scroll to the bottom where it says ship to and change countries to other - international).
You can tick the box for only show locations with item in stock. Results below!

Has anyone in US seen the Fox bag charm IRL? My SA ordered one for me a couple of weeks ago but it still is not in shipping status. She said it shows it’s been “pulled”. She said if it doesn’t show “in transit” status by tomorrow it means they are sold out. I checked find in store option but none are available. Does anyone have any intel?

I would say there has been an uptick in quality issues w/H since I started buying in the '80's- I suspect because of the loosening of the return policy. Mostly I have had issues with online orders or charge-sends- never with in-store purchases that I can inspect.

I have all the sought-after designers- I seem to return to LV lately because it (mostly canvas) fits my lifestyle now. But my heart will always be first with Hermes- it is such a wonderful legacy aspirational brand.

I absolutely loved this bag when I saw this photo and was 100% sure I'd buy it.
Now I'm not so sure, the price is also a huge turn off for me. Based on the USD price and the AUD price you quoted I'm guessing the CAD price will be similar, perhaps just under $3,000. I just question at this time whether any canvas LV is worth close to $3,000 CAD.
I would've texted the SA I've dealt with to call me when it comes in, but I think at this point I'm going to wait and see if my store gets it, and if it's in stock, go and see it and see how i feel.
