This is just gross! I guess they have to make their money back somehow from the closure. Too bad it’s off the backs of consumers, many who are suffering from the affects of the pandemic as well.

With many companies doing things to help ease the cost of things like insurance, cc payments, mortgage payments, this is just in bad taste. They will continue to do this until we as consumers stop allowing this and going along with their program. For goodness sake they just had an increase a few months ago!

Totally agree. I was looking forward to picking up a few things (especially in store) after this whole mess is over, but this is really putting a bad taste in my mouth.

I’ve decided that I’m going to back off LV after this. I’m pretty content with my LV collection but wanted to purchase the new card holder. If I’m unable to purchase it before the price increase then I won’t have it. I’m sure they won’t miss my little pennies but I’m taking a stand.

I hope you can get some of your items before the increase or even after the increase if you really want them.

Agreed. 4 years without a price increase, then 3 in 1 year? Shame on them if this is true!

I agree....but like moths to a flame, people (myself included), are still enamored by each seasonal release, and will keep paying the inflated prices. Add to the fact these items never go on sale, so they have no issue , no problem with multiple price increases. Thankfully, I've amassed a nice assortment over the decades, and am more selective when making a purchase. It's no wonder reseller sites are so successful. It does seem like bad form to do this ( if indeed it will happen) during one of the worst economic times in the world.

Wow. This is sad.
Yeah I’m Pretty much set myself. Just looking to get maybe one more purchase before the Price increase. But hey if I don’t, it’s ok I’m content. Que sera sera.

I’m pretty disappointed because I barely started my collection and have quite a few things on my wishlist :hrmm: got my first bag at the end of January, I think right after the first price increase of the year. Then bought my 2 mini pochettes- one right before and one after the 2nd price increase.

I’ve been checking out other luxury brands and I like how YSL, Gucci, etc. at least have sales once in a while in department stores, whereas LV seems to draw in customers by making their items almost unobtainable and making us chase for everything. Sad to say but this is making me think it might be a better idea to start gravitating towards those brands instead of LV.

Yes, I understand they have to have increases from time to time to keep up with costs of production but this is excessive.

I get enamored too but when are we going to say enough is enough? How far do you think they will go if we keep paying it? This is not directed at you, I’m just fussing and questioning out loud lol.

Exactly! We have choices and I’m pretty happy about that. I’ve started branching out more towards other brands too. I still have more LV items than I have of any other brand but that’s about to change.

I’m glad you mentioned it because the games LV plays with their inventory is another reason for refusing to play their game further. I often get frustrated about that and now the second increase within months of the most recent one is just icing on the cake.

I do understand that price rises will happen in luxury, as well as in so many other industries and wage increases etc but WOW another price increase is unbelievable. I have several items on my wishlist but it kind of makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. I probably won’t because let’s face it, bags make me HAPPY. But even so, I feel disgruntled by this. I hope their employees are getting a pay rise or something to justify this increase.

Now I could behind it if they were giving their employees pay increases but I would be shocked if that was the case.
