Are you serious??!! Look at previous collections such as Supreme or Vetements where the items were on eBay in a flash and some at nearly a 100% uplift! Other brands experience this same phenomena for hard to get pieces, the demand is artificially increased by those that have no intention on keeping the item. The sad things is as long as there are people willing to cough up the ridiculous reseller prices the practice will continue. Personally I refuse to pay above retail for anything and if I don’t get lucky enough to find that hard to get piece from the store for the RRP then it wasn’t meant to be and I move on.
I purchased my AlmaBB mono about the same time. I already had the Alma BB in DE and had debated, for months, if I wanted the mono Alma BB. Sure glad I did!Whew! Just purchased my alma bb in DE a week ago.
It was available a wee or two ago. I posted it in the stalking thread.I have not seen an Alma BB mono appear as in stock once in the last 6 months, and I check everyday. I bought a Damier one back in 2018 also for $1640. I wish I could go back in time and buy them both because they did have them in stock that day but now at nearly $2000 I’ll pass and put that money towards something else.
I think the supreme and vetements collabs brought in a different consumer base though - hypebeasts who don't usually have an interest in LV wanted the pieces, and hence demand was extremely high compared to the supply. I don't think that's the case for most LV collections. Of course, LV should really just be increasing supply to meet demand to combat this, if they actually cared. Are you serious??!! I mentioned the On the Go bags were 3,150 in July, then 3,400 and now 3,500 after last night!Frustrating! There was another price increase last night in Australia.. again bags have gone up by 100-200$
