so the preloved market seems like its starting to rise in prices too.

a neverfull in new condition was watching before price hike discounted to 1345 on fashionphile but was bought realllllly fast !

My statement was in regards to the to the 15% increase that was being discussed. As I said, I do not believe people are purchasing to resell with a 15% increase. It's simply not worth anyone's time and effort and 15% usually results in a loss.

Wow. I can’t believe my luck, I bought a speedy b 25 only last week for AUD $1,940 and now it’s $2,020.

I was bummed about the price increase in July - how crazy two major price rises in a year! I’m glad I got it when I did as over $2k I could go for a decent sized Gucci Dionysius or similar.

I also noticed when purchasing in store that they didn’t have a single classic monogram bag on display (alma/neverfull/speedy). Really feels like this coupled with the specific price increases they’re either majority capitalising on the popularity of the classic Bags, or trying to price buyers out of loving their classic pieces.

I think the supreme and vetements collabs brought in a different consumer base though - hypebeasts who don't usually have an interest in LV wanted the pieces, and hence demand was extremely high compared to the supply. I don't think that's the case for most LV collections. Of course, LV should really just be increasing supply to meet demand to combat this, if they actually cared.
