The LV pp cover is nice but any pp cover is inconvenient and such a hassle.....at least from my experience. A US immigration officer removed my pp cover once..as well as my family's pp covers..and told us to not bother putting one again because it will always be removed. Note that it was a clear plastic one that we used at that point. Good thing I did not buy an expensive one!
I’m in the market for a new passport cover; I’ve always used one. Mine is leather and stretched out from being wrapped around 4 passports.
Like others, I take 2 whole seconds to remove it from the holder in line. i always open and stack them with the barcodes ready anyway.
I like keeping mine protected in my bag and my safe and keep other items with them.

I thought about getting one too but now I just use the pouch from my NF or my agenda because it can hold a pen and closes securely with a snap.
Yep thats what the immigration officers told me too. It's like they all hate passport covers.
