Hi does anyone know the price of the NÉONOÉ MM in Monogram Empreinte Leather in Hawaii? I’ll be in Portland next week and Hawaii in Sept. Wanted to check if its worth waiting or if I should just buy it in Portland without sales tax. TIA.

I'm very grateful to say that I made my third-ever visit to Maui this month. It was hard to leave!

I wasn't into LV the first two times I went there -- that fact probably helped me be able to afford this third trip. I went to the Whalers Village location and the Wailea location. While I have these two very limited experiences, I'll share what I saw in case it helps anyone else who has not been.

The Wailea store seemed to have more inventory to me. The Whalers location is quite small with not a lot to choose from, at least when I was there. For example, from the stardust collection, the Wailea store only had one pink slg and at first the Whalers Village store had nothing at all (but later got in a pink MPA).

I found the CAs at both to be very friendly, and it was refreshing that at both spots, you could just walk in. I didn't have to have an appointment or wait in line, and at least at the Whalers location, where I spent more time, they let me know walk around unchaperoned. So refreshing compared to the store closest to my home, where I have either have an appointment, wait in a long line, and then once in, be escorted as I walk around.

I thought I could be disciplined and get some shoes or an slg . . . but instead I used the special Hawaii pricing to get yet another bag.:graucho:

I took with me my Pochette Metis in navy nacre, Noe in damier azur, and SC Bag in turquoise, and returned home with the addition of an Onthego GM in black empreinte ($300 less than mainland pricing). This is not the bag I thought I would get! I thought I would maybe get an Onthego PM or MM. I don't even love black bags, lol.

But the Hawaii exclusive, which I loved the look of (pics were posted of it here), I was too afraid to get because it's an ivory jacquard -- otherwise, I would have probably been weak and gotten that. But I know I would get that dirty in 48 hours. And some of the other bags I might eye, they didn't have. However when I saw the Onthego GM in person, I loved how classic it looked and I loved the size -- perfect for work. So back it came with me. I think the corner wear is going to be a problem, and I've read in tPF about the known issue of the longer strap fraying, but it seemed like the best all around choice for work.

Congrats on your new OTG! It's beautiful. Yay, that you made it back to Hawaii. I love it when people come here. I live in Honolulu, but also like the laid back vibe of Maui.
