Hi everyone! My hubby bought me the mini Dauphine as a birthday present. I've been keeping it in the LV box eagerly awaiting unboxing it. Last night I had a quick peek, and found dents and scuffs on the glazing on the strap I've uploaded just 2 photos, but I've spotted at least 5 dents.

This is my very first LV bag (I have Dior, Fendi and Chanel - none of them have ever given me such issues). Is this defect to be expected? I guess I'm so disappointed because I've not even started using the bag! What can I do?View attachment 4370611 View attachment 4370612

Hi EmmJay, thanks for your reply. So my hubby's CA told him they would replace the strap for me but it would take months. Is this normal for lv?

And with the glazing on the strap dented and scuffed so quickly without any use, I'm wondering if that puts the whole bag at risk when I use it :/

I would request a new bag. IMO, it’s unacceptable to have repairs on a new bag.

I have seen the mini and mm dauphine irl, albeit not in reverse monogram and it(the mini) is not too wide. The mini is not too small and because of the width it actually fits a lot.

Do you use the chain when you carry your bag? I just exchanged my mini for the mm and i didn’t realize the chain was sort of heavy. Is it noisy when you carry it?
