Is your Dauphine the reverse monogram? You can always get the Boite Chapeau in vernis just to make them more interesting... that said I have both in monogram and I really think they are different in style. Dauphine is retro, more lady like, darker leather and reverse monogram with focal point at the envelope closure LV logo. Boite is chic, cute, lighter vachette leather and “round” with shoulder strap that sets itself apart from others. I got both in Monogram simply because I think they’re so different imho. Hope this helps.

I tried the chapeau souple and it is a lovely bag, with a boho look to it, which I find charming. But I really had to cut my losses because too many lovely things from LV.

The Dauphine arrived but I can't decide it if works or me. It is roomier than the other bags of this style I've had before but the extra room makes the bottom wider. Not a big fan of the chain. I love the magnetic snap & the adjustable strap. Most of my things fit in ok. So, I am now in the valley of decision on whether or not to keep her.

It’s a gorgeous bag I know but it is a different kind of shape at the bottom it sounds like. Did you make a decision? It’s hard sometimes to be brutally honest about whether or not we will actually use something

I'm up and down! I don't have a bag like it & I will say the wider bottom allows for more of my things. I think I have gotten use to bigger bags that are open with easier access. Yesterday I was keeping it. Today I am undecided. HA! I just want to be sure I will use it. I hate these kinds of decisions! Thanks for asking!
