Returned my noir PM and purchased got a mini dauphine! Must say....it has the most comfortable strap ever. The mini fits a lot IMO (Versace sunglass case, 6-key holder, small wallet, eyeglasses, checkbook, AirPods). All of my needs in a super comfy, compact bag! The Blanche BB fits the same items.

Loving Queen Dauphine and Blanche. Enjoy your new bags!!

I can't speak too much on wear yet because I just bought the mini today! L

The leather is nothing like vachetta. I do not buy vachetta bags....EVER. It is a brown leather, and I guess like all leather bags, there is usually some care involved. The mini holds a lot IMO. I can fits my full size Versace sunglasses case, my compact wallet, 6-key holder, readers and my AirPods. After the summer is over and the sunnie case comes out, there will be plenty of room for other items.

I love how COMFORTABLE the strap is. Really the most comfy LV strap I have tried. It is soft and supple. I love that the strap is adjustable (similar to the Neonoe strap). I would have liked the strap to extend a little longer, but that's a small gripe. I tend to wear my bags lower.

I love the strength of the magnetic closure. Although the bag looks rigid, it is not a hard bag. I was surprised by that when I put it on. I do wish it had a flat top handle but the canvas on top is soft and probably wasn't possible for that reason). I also love that there are two compartments instead of just a big opening on the inside.

The bag is gorgeous in person. When I saw it online I paid it no attention. In the store, my eye was drawn right to it. The play of colors with different shades of browns make it really stand out.

I hope you love it! Sorry I don't have further input at this point. I think in rain I am going to use a different bag, even though I think it would be ok.

Have you seen/held it in person? I may be repeating what you already know. LOL

I bought the reverse dauphin mini because it was the first monogram bag that has caught my eyes in a long long time. Tried the regular before and it did nothing for me. Tried the mini and it was love at first sight. I do worry that it is a little too small for my plus size frame, but it’s too stunning, I have always gotten compliments whenever I wear it.
Size wise, definitely use a compact wallet and you should be fine. Like Sympathyduet, I like the divided compartments. The magnet is a tad too strong though
Leather wise, I do worry a bit about using in the rain, but the darker leather should be better than untreated vachetta. I changed to the PM strap though, I like the look and feel that its less worry free.
In all, I rate it 9/10!

I have the MM in the classic monogram with reverse and I also have it in the géant print.

Regarding the first one, I completely agree with the above posters, so I really do not have much to add, except that:

1) I am not fully used to carrying such a “small” bag as a day to day bag (and mine is in the bigger size), so I always end up putting more stuff than I should and it gets a funky shape at the very top. Also, when it is über full, the clasp closes in a weird way; let’s say halfway, but the flap will not open because the magnet is really strong, as SympathyDuet and leooh have mentioned.

2) The MM can get a bit heavy (at least for its size, IMO) with the chain and its clasps sometimes get momentarily stuck with the strap’s clasps, especially when you lift it by the strap. The chain also (sometimes) gets kind of stuck on the gussets for a second as well depending on how it moves. I really like how it looks though, so I leave it on anyway.

3) I normally use the Cosmetic Pouch PM and it will not fit comfortably, but the middle zipped compartment fits everything that I normally put into the pouch. For a wallet, I use a Zippy Coin Purse and it fits like it was made for this bag.

4) I thought the leather tab would be full of scratches and stains by now — I took it with me to Hong Kong and it travelled on the subway and got rubbed against people and things, but it is pristine. This leather is not a bit similar to VVN.

5) When I saw it on the runway for the first time, I flat out hated it, but it is definitely one of the coolest bags that I own. Visually, I love every angle of it. And strangely for monogram, it looks super elegant and not flashy at all. Needless to say I only like monogram in very few pieces/styles, so I guess that says a lot.

6) You can also use the bag as a clutch, so I guess that you could say it is a three-in-one (“three” if you consider you can carry it crossbody).

The géant one is pretty much the same, although I have not used it yet (hate the print, but got it as a gift). The silver hardware and the shiny crinkled black leather look amazing, if that helps in any way.

ETA: I really like the Céline Box; however, something else beside the leather stopped me from pulling the trigger. Then, after I got my first Dauphine at the end of last year, the Céline Triomphe and the Dior 30 Montaigne really caught my eye, but if I had to choose between these, I would still choose the Dauphine and I am actually hoping for a different combination in taurillon or for an épi version to come out.

Thanks for posting this. I passed on this bag originally and now I wonder...

I loved reading this! I can definitely see how the chain could "get in the way". That happens with the chain on my Pallas clutch. It seems to get stuck places it doesn't belong, but it looks so pretty so I leave it on. The chain on the MM is really gorgeous, something they chose not to add with the mini.

I love your #5! This bag IMO is not typical Vuitton. It is indeed very elegant for a mono print.

No, thank you! You should definitely give it a second chance. :flowers:

Oh yes! I guess that not having the chain is a pro (or a con, depending on how you look at it). It definitely works better on the Dauphine though than on my Mini Luggage for example, but I also guess I can see how the Mini version would be just too saturated if it had one. The #5 was what made me go crazy over this bag, so I am glad we are on the same boat!:heart:

By the way, I love the Pallas clutch — it is so pretty and it is a total shame it is not available anymore. Please keep it in great health!

I have the mini Dauphine. I debated between the MM and the mini, but I feel the mini looks better in this pattern and functions better in this style. The mini is not bulky and it is easy to carry when you will be moving around quite a bit - the size ensures it won’t be bumping into things. It is a nice little wardrobe accent worn crossbody. The canvas is very soft, yet I would never think to treat it as I do with my light colored lambskin bags. I learned to downsize especially for this bag, and I’m quite glad I did. I carry a small zip around Chanel wallet, keys, phone, small cheap makeup pouch, pen, AirPods, and reading glasses. It’s a great bag for virtually any use: shopping, vacation, work (can be placed inside a larger tote), or even a casual evening.
