I am also looking into getting something from the first drop now. I was saving my cash for the cherries but now I don't need to do that. I'm in Europe and I have seen pieces from the previous drops become available on the website here and there. I think since the hype kind of died down and the VIP clients already got to have the pieces before everyone else, they will be easier to get
Interesting but you would think it wouldve made more sense to release during the first multicolor/superflat launch. would likely be a nomination piece too so i wouldn't worry about it unless youre on a super short list. the original petit panda i want to say was around $3500 retail, so must be some absurd number now if it were to come out again. I was offered one from a japan reseller for $4500 but couldnt justify the spend at the time. the original was at least individually numbered on the tag (limited to 150) and murakami signed and numbered a certificate of authenticity for each one as well. i wouldnt be shocked if there was a re-release is because in the past few years he seems to be on a big money grab and pushing out tons of random merch including his own pandas. An LV refresh could hype up sales for his kaikai kiki line of pandas.
22nd of may is the official launch. Pre orders start earlier.
