Lost Half of Cartier Love Bracelet!

I'm so devastated - I know there are other threads on the forum about this, but I stack my bracelets so the screws come loose. I lost HALF of my bracelet on my front porch and have no idea where the other half is. I searched the trash, bought a metal detector to look through the yard, even looked at the kitty litter! It has completely disappeared.

That being said, does anyone know someone who sells only HALF of them? I have a size 17 gold, new screw system. I don't want to do it through Cartier if possible because I know they charge around $4k. I found some on ebay for around $2k, but they are rose gold.

I know this has happened to other people so there have to be other halves out there for sale! I am still so upset and am hoping it turns up.
Hello,

I was skiing and took a fall, I lost half of my love on the mountain. Mine is the same size and color, 17 yellow gold. Have you found a solution yet?

I happen to have a half of a Cartier love bracelet, but the half I have is the part with the screw in it

I use Loctite purple 222 (however the bottle is red) for my rainbow. However, the screws came loose despite the Loctite so now I‘ve put a bigger amount on all around the screw. I hope this is enough. It‘s such a gorgeous bracelet!

Same for me. Mine half-way fell off once, so I used Loctite, but they came undone again with the clanging of the stack, so I thought it was not worth the risk. Since you are in Europe the change of screws should be faster, but my Rainbow has been in the workshop in France for new screws for about a year now. However, I am in the USA.

Would rather have the locks exchanged. Had some glue on 2 of mine but same here - one went off again. With the new locks no issues :flowers:

That makes sense, and I had the locks changed on my WG 4 diamonds. They explained they would need to polish it. When it came back, the locks held more or less, much better anyway, and it was re-rhodinized, but the edges were rounded and it looks narrower now. Never doing that again!

A year, wow. That‘s really long, too long. They should exchange.

Since both my WGs have/had locks like that, I‘m not convinced however a third new one would be any better. They should be able to produce functioning bracelets, or a lock change without changing the original look of it. Hoping Loctite will work.

Has anyone used the next strength up? Would you still be able to remove it?

I do hope you'll find the other half,,,and I am on the same boat...

I also lost my Half of Cartier Love Bracelet (size 16 gold) and looking for the other half.

If anyone finds a place where we can get a half part, please share! I'll do the same if I find any!

Not a Cartier expert but why don’t you take it to the store you bought it from, there could be a warrant for a replacement if the bracelet breaks in half as this might be a design flaw

You should try more Loctite on yours. I applied some to my stack on the classics and one took on the 1st try, but the classic closest to my wrist, which I think probably gets the most vibrations, did not.

This classic was also our 'guinea pig' and my husband's first go at application so I don't think we placed enough on initially. However, after the second application, which we placed more this time, it seems to have done the trick! My screws have not budged!

At a recent visit to a Cartier boutique, I was offered the "Love Enhancement" I think the SA called it for the screws, but I decided against it and to just use Loctite. I'm with @avcbob!! I prefer Loctite as my means of insurance on my Loves!

Ironically, this SA also uses Loctite on her Ecrou to keep the bolts evenly separated on her bracelet so they don't all slide to one side - quite ingenious I think as it looks better that way!

Thank you, that is helpful. I ended up having the screws in mine replaced, but I will keep it in mind for my other bracelets.

I have half of a 16 yellow gold bracelet. Found on the ground not sure what to do with it. Anyone have ideas? It is authentic. I don’t think it would work with yours since you are talking about a 17. Thought to sell for gold but not sure.

Wow! Where did you find it? What are the chances…
