Looking for feedback for these bags. I was eyeing the ostrich L19 in particular. How hard are these to find ? I am traveling to Italy and wondering if it’s better to try and find an SA there. Thanks.

I really like this, and I’m thinking about the blue one. Well made. Apparently top sellers for NY and BH

IDK. With respect to Hermes, Chanel, and Dior, I’ve read horror stories. I have not yet purchased any LP abroad and no LP bags at all (I’m a RTW person). I’ve had stellar aftercare experiences simply bc my local SAs handle any issues. With respect to VAT, you get that, but then you pay customs when coming back, and there is the aggravation of transporting. So, I really only buy very few brands abroad, usually from those unavailable to me in the US. LP is experiencing an unprecedented wave of interest in its bags. The bag you posted in the mini size is the top seller, so if I saw the color I wanted, I would just buy it. JMO though.

I have the L19 and would highly recommend. The leather is very nice and supple and it is very light in weight. Comes with a little strap that’s detachable an fits easily inside the bag if you aren’t using it. It’s been my favorite bag of the summer. Easily fits the strap, a phone, some lipsticks, hand sanitizer, and a card holder or small wallet like a calvi. Can definitely fit sunnies as well.
It is much cheaper in Italy than the US (even without taking into consideration the vat!). But I was told they do standard rate vat refund in the EU so there’s no difference between Italy vs France for example. If any of you happen to be going to capri, the SAs for that store are just lovely. My favorite LP location I’ve been to by far.

I was going to get a purple ostrich - but many years ago, maybe even before LVMH takeover. They had no strap at that time and my problem was the same for the Hermes Kelly Pochette, I didn't want to always handhold either by the handle or as a 'clutch'. I think the HW colour was wrong for me too (I didn't want gold). They are very useful and stay well organised, great for a casual evening too. I was going to use mine for travel, bag in a bag for day, then by itself for evening.

A couple of weeks before my trip to Rome (early August) I searched the bag online and it said Rome had it available. I scheduled an appointment hoping it would still be available by the time I go there...and of cuz...all pouches were sold out! Now my only hope is to get it in the US. The SA said they are expecting some inventory coming in September but there is a waitlist.
