The bullets aren’t all that different from the baguettes and may not be worth it unless you can trade the baguettes. Asscher are not my favorite for side stones. Skinny emerald or non-taperd baguettes mounted parallel to the center look awesome.
I’m not that keen on the parallel stones because I’m not into 3 stone rings. I like a more perpendicular side stone, but don’t want to do the just a conventional tapered baguette. I did look up bullet pairs and I can get a .25 ct pair for $800. But I’m not sure if they would be too small...French cut is interesting but probably not worth double the cost.

Okay. I’m going to stick with my current tapered baguettes with some pave element. These are my current favs images.

Just ran into this thread with lots of emerald cut rings. Have you decided yet?

Thanks! It’s been a while since I’ve been on that thread. The stones on that thread are gorgeous and all way bigger than my stone!

I’m impatiently waiting for a cad drawing from my jeweler! I hope to have some progress this week.

I have to stop looking at diamonds. It’s giving me some serious DSS!:wtf:

Does anyone have one of these bubble aka floating diamond bands? I think they are so pretty and delicate looking but wonder how they withstand daily wear...

I hear you. Then just go all about the stones and do the simplest setting to showcase your beauties to look something like that:

This type of reset should not be expensive, as you would be able to use both the stones and the metal you already have and it would give you time to enjoy just the beauty of your stones, have a a new ring and not feel stressed about choosing the "wrong" setting. And when you come across a setting you absolutely love and must have, you can do it without feeling guilty about spending money again.
THIS!!!

I can’t...this look isn’t different enough from my original setting...[/QUOTE
I am so sorry to have responded before seeing that you had already gone in a different direction.
You have some beautiful options. Mine is a rather substantial stone and is set with tapered baguettes (Cartier) so I am a bit biased. I got married nearly 20 years ago and the setting still looks relevant/timeless. For larger classicly cut diamonds I do prefer the more simple settings (vs halos and extra embellishments).
The setting you posted looks very different from your original IMO, although I can appreciate that you wish to create something very different/fresh.
Good luck with your pretty ring.
