Woke up and couldn't get the sand shade off my mind. I ordered a sand to try too. What is wrong with me. Lol. Hopefully no worries with color transfer - maybe can Applegard it first?

Hi OP, I have used my small puzzle in tan for almost everyday and even for vacation. I am 4"9.
In this photo I used it on vacation. I can carry a small water bottle + small umbrella, a short wallet, hand sanitiser, lip balm, tissues, phone.
And i feel safe with this bag in crowded areas because once the bag is zipped up, the risk of pickpocket is less.
Love this bag.
Even for winter I could adjust the shoulder strap longer and wear it over my thick jacket.

The best travel bag I've ever used is my small puzzle. Mine is black - any color that would go with your wardrobe would work. but black worked especially nicely for evening worn hand-held
that's why I was considering the black initially too. buttt I think I'll just get whatever color I like best and get a nice black pouch for inside to take in the evening.

These bags are bigger in person than I expected. Maybe a mini size would be good for me.. They are also prettier IRL
I prefer the tan to the black, I don’t wear much black anymore due to the dogs. And I already have a black sac de jour nano, but not a good tan bag.
I do wear a lot of sand/taupe so I am curious how the sand puzzle will be.. might blend in better w my clothes. I do think I’d be more afraid of getting the sand dirty so it wouldn’t be as carefree.

I have a sand mini and it’s pretty carefree but I am a little more careful with it. Size is just up to you. When it’s colder out I need a bigger bag to surf in gloves or a beanie. A mini holds cardholder, sunglasses, a couple makeup products, keys and phone. That’s the bare minimum. Did you treat your sand puzzle with anything like Collonil? Yeah a bigger bag means less thinking and planning ahead of time for what to bring which is always nice.
I have a white small puzzle in grained calfskin, had no issues so far with colour transfer but I am relatively careful with it. It stores a good amount and like others have said- the puzzle with the flap and zip is quite secure and I love a crossbody option (essential when travelling).
I'm going to Europe for 3 weeks later this year, I probably won't bring my puzzle though (autumn in EU so white isn't my colour of choice)- my Givenchy Pandora will be my bag of choice. If my puzzle was black I'd certainly consider it (which is why I'm considering a pre-loved somewhere down the road).

I say keep the tan. It’s the most versatile tan I’ve ever seen among different brands. The sand to me, is just blah…it’s a nice neutral but kinda dull. however, the leather on the sand is grained, so IMO, it’s more durable, endures scratches better. It also slouches more than the tan in classic calf. The tan one will hold its shape better but still slouches with much use.
