I use it as an everyday bag, but I think it would work great for a work bag. It could easily hold a 14inch laptop and still have room for other stuff. (It is about 5 inches wide at the base.) Oh, and it is very light, which is nice. I went to a bead show this weekend (I design jewelry) and I used it as my shopping tote. It fits perfectly on the shoulder and I was able to stuff all my purchases inside, along with my paperwork,etc., no problem.

ohhh join the club. here is my batignolles. It's fits everything from wallet to diapers to diaper wipes to sunglasses.. to etc etc.. it'll definetly fit a laptop

Congrats! That bag is so great!!! I think Noriko says that it's not the best bag for a laptop
