Thanks so much for unearthing these! This is sensational re the Madeleine update! No front pocket and now with a crossbody strap - they decided to adopt the form of the Top Handle Madeleine Tribu - wonder if it has a back pocket too :D

I am glad now that I held back on purchasing the black Madeleine crossbody. Going to get the front-pocketless Madeleine top handle in black instead! :love: According to the website description (if its accurate), there is a back pocket like on the Tribu.

Very interesting .... I had written off the Madeleine, but if there’s going to be a back pocket, I may have to reconsider.

I need to think some more about which of the Madeleines really works best for me. They are similar in size: the small top handle is 11 x 8.7 x 3.9 inches and the crossbody is 10.4 x 7.7 x 3.9 inches. On the one hand, I like the idea of the exterior back pocket on the top handle bag for holding my phone for easy access. But I'm not sure I like the divided interior on the top handle bag (versus one open compartment on the crossbody). @SmokieDragon, do you prefer one over the other? I really do like the design of my Madeleine crossbody in khaki.

I prefer my Tribu Top Handle to my crossbody because I can put my water bottle inside. I know on paper it looks like the size difference isn't much but I find that the Tribu is just a lot bigger. Here's my post on in in the WIMB thread (https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...-show-us-please.859041/page-108#post-32527800). I hardly ever post in there so for me to have posted, it means I was truly impressed with the Tribu's capacity. However, I do note that my Tribu has a suede front and sides, which just might make it softer and easier to get in and out of...?

Thanks for your answer. Guess I have a little while to obsess about this before the new spring bags arrive. :nuts: Do you wear the top handle on your shoulder often? Thinking about my habits, I probably wouldn't wear it that way much. I'm more likely to either wear it by the long strap, or remove the long strap for a dressier look and carry it by hand/over the arm. In the pics below I think the crossbody looks better in both cases.

So far, I have worn my top handle only on my shoulder. The strap that came with the bag is long so should I want to use it, it has to be crossbody and proportion-wise, it looks too big on me crossbody. My boutique doesn't have the special tool to make more holes in the strap so that is that haha :biggrin: I bought a Ruby 3D strap at the recent F and F so maybe I can try it out with that strap soon. Otherwise, I'm just happy to wear it on my shoulder, tucked under my protective arm since it's light-coloured suede after all :biggrin:
