Was so excited to see that the burgundy red/wine color is actually plum, but now I see they discontinued the Le Pliage City in the Small size, which is the size I wanted to buy the bag in. Sometimes you just can't win.:sad: I guess I'll get the XS crossbody bag. Also, not sure why they made the new Le Foulonne tote depth so small. They could have given us an extra inch. Beautiful tote nonetheless.

I've had that with LC and other brand houses foo. Sometimes, it's the colour or the depth or the width that does not work. Maybe that's why we keep looking at either the same brand or elsewhere, to find that perfect bag that works for us in all aspects. I wish the regular smaller foulonne crossbody is a tad wider too, then I won't have to play tetris with it.

I’ve found many bags that works for me in all aspects but I’m still looking. I think I’m sick :lol:

The tobacco looks different than on the website. On the website it looks cocoa brown and here it looks almost like a dark cognac. I still like it and will most likely get the mini Filet to add to my collection. Seeing the Tobacco Energy and Filet makes me wish there was an XS Le Pliage Original line. That color would have looked so good in a XS size.

My SA shared that the filet looked like there are bits of gold threads woven in. I had not seen it in person yet but that sounds like a pretty metallic to me. Not entirely metallic but just some parts of it. I've not really looked at the Energy line in detail but this pic shows the material had some texture to it and I like that. You are right that this colour will look absolutely fantastic in an LP.

For me at least, Longchamp is one of the only brands that really plays into the graphic nature of their logo and really does some cool and creative things with their designs. Even if every bag doesn't suit everyone's taste, I appreciate them leaning into different artistic styles and such!

Well said. This is also the reason why they still appeal to me after so many years. Whilst the brand did discontinue some of their very functional styles, I guess this is also their strategy to keep the brand fresh.
