My worry is the same..Last year I got an 8.30 slot but still had to wait over an hour from memory.
This year I managed to get the 8.30 Slot on the 20th then found out I have to be in work that day..Next date I could make was the 22nd and could only get a 10.30 slot.
I'm not worried about lack of stock because they replenish constantly its more about the waiting and waiting...Methinks I'm too old for this game!!

I turned up 30 mins before my slot and there were probably 25people in front I guess.
The doors were late opening from memory otherwise I would have entered at around my slot time.
Queuing earlier doesn't get you in any earlier as they check your invite and stick to the time slots.
What annoyed me was people saving places for friends who turned up at the last moment and caused the numbers waiting to swell.
I think those people were re-sellers though as they were a highly cordinated group

I would have happily been queue buddy with you, until I remembered that was the slot I wanted but didn’t get… So, if anyone wants a queue buddy for 9am on Wed let me know, I plan to arrive around 8.30 :smile:

What does queue buddy mean? Is it like an informal meet up/ keeping place in queue for each other if one is delayed/ both?! Sounds like fun. Perhaps TPFers could all wear a "sign" so we know we can say hi to each other if our paths cross

In my mind it’s an informal meet-up and someone to chat to while I queue rather than look at my phone.

It would be fun to have a “sign” so we can identify fellow tpf’ers, especially as it’s been a while since the last London meet!

Yup, it's like a meet-up! I suspect queueing might be kind of miserable on my own. Especially at that hour. And depending on how long the wait is, having someone to hold your place if you need the loo or another cup of tea is amazing.

Ah no! Shame! Hopefully we will find some queue buddies, then. For my sign... hmm... I'll be in office-appropriate loungewear. Hoping to head to the office straight after shopping. Gotta hide my bags :graucho:

I have the 12:30 slot for Tuesday. Was just planning on bringing my Kindle to pass the queue time, so happy to have a queue buddy too!

Since the rules seem to be stricter this year (no phone vs just no photos last year), do you think they will still allow shoe purchases if not your size? I was hoping to get a pair of trainers for DH again.
