I ended up exchanging my panda dice charm while in store and walked out with the mini panda puzzle edge too šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. I was hesitant about the purchase but the moment I saw it I couldn’t walk out the store without it. I’m a panda lover and honestly this collection was incredibly bad for my wallet. It does have some wrinkles on the top portion of the marquetry panel as thatā€˜s the part that flexes the most when I put anything in it and 2 wrinkles on the side but surprisingly it doesn’t really bother me as much as I thought I would. I’m just stuffing the corner and hoping for the best but honestly it’s in the back so I don’t mind that much. But as an owner of a classic calfskin small puzzle, I definitely see the difference with the leather’s forgiveness as my calfskin puzzle honestly still looks relatively brand new even though it’s 2 years old. The panda SLGs are sadly printed on which is unfortunate but I liked the prints enough to still purchase. What can I say pandas are my weakness šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøā€¦I was doomed the moment I saw this collectionšŸ˜‚ My SA did tell me that if the print fades she believes they can repair it as that was my concern when I was looking at the panda mini flamenco in store and noticed one of the panda’s foot wasn’t as lacquered(?) or shiny as the rest of its body. I honestly was considering the flamenco over the puzzle but when I saw both in person the marquetry of the puzzle won me over even with my hesitation towards satin calfskin. It also felt thinner compared to my mini flamenco šŸ˜•

Lemur bag successfully delivered to the store! My sis would be picking it up tomorrow. Not as cheap as I hoped since it won’t be eligible for tax back but still a tidy sum off the retail price in Singapore.
So excited for you to get it!! šŸ’“ Please share mod shots too! I was very tempted with the JP restock as well considering its $400 USD cheaper!!

Since my panda card holder order was cancelled I've been trying to tell myself I don't need anything panda but I can't stop thinking about pandas. For anyone who has or has seen the panda SLGs and accessories in person which items seem like the best option/best quality? Or are the panda items not worth it. I keep looking at the dice charm but I don't think the colour of the leather would go with any of my bags and I'm wondering if it could be used on keys or anything else

Just a note, from photos I've seen of the panda coin cardholder, it seems to be printed as well (like the lemur CCH). Hopefully someone with the items can double check for me because I never saw them in person.

The Panda hammock is a masterpiece (if you can afford it-- its A LOT of money). Also the mini panda flamenco, though the pandas are printed/the leather is thinner, I think it's okay! I really love the secret Panda aspect of it. Like no one would be able tell it is different, but when you open it for yourself you get a pretty little party in your bag. And it's very iykyk in the sense if some does notice and knows this collection, it'll be an extra special experience for both of you! Just some thoughts 😊

The marquetry on the hammock does look amazing but can't really justify or afford it right now I'm not sure that bag style would work for me so it would just sit there unused looking pretty. If I hadn't bought a mini flamenco a couple of months ago and if I could stick to loving one of the animals instead of 3 so that i just bought one bag instead of wanting somerhing for each animal I probably would have bought the flamenco I like the lining of it as well. From photos I think the CH and CCH are printed but the wallets might have some marquetry. I kind of wish there had been more hamock hobos or mini puzzle folds in this collection because they are styles I have been eyeing but don't have. If the bears hadn't been Japan exclusive or if I was going to Japan anytime soon I probable would have gotten the hobo. Maybe I should just save my money for now and wait to see what comes out for the new year because in my head a year of the dragon collection is going to be amazing. But there probably won't be much available here and I still can't stop thinking about pandas

Agreed! If anything for the pandas I think a printed panda isnt terrible if you love it so much, so a cardholder may be what you need to satisfy you! But it never hurts to save some money and then with Lunar New Year + considering it is the year of the dragon (which is a big deal to a lot of different cultures) it may good to wait!

But, beware I'm predicting the dragon LNY items will be a capsule and have only a few styles for the reasons below:
- Loewe has been investing more into its Chinese market as evidenced by last years Chinese Monochrome collection, the bunny LNY capsule and most recently the Chinese Valentine's Day & 520 capsules. The Chinese Monochrome one was the only real collection and the other 3 were small with about 5-10 styles maximum.
- The Chinese Monochrome collection, was also actually considered the holiday collection for 2022 similar to how this Suna Fujita is the holiday collection for 2023 and was released around the same time (early Nov). The Chinese Monochrome collection also alluded to LNY but Suna Fujita does not.
- My conclusion: When releasing LNY items, Loewe usually plans for China to be the top market despite other countries/cultures valuing it as well. It also seems like they've been using this past year's collections/capsules to test the market and measure the success of Chinese focused collections. I don't believe they've done too well with full collections considering many Chinese Monochrome collection items are still ATB online 1 yr later, so for this year they opted to target the JP market for the holidays since their success is so consistent there. I think they also realized their succes in China comes from limited edition capsules. Therefore, all in all I think Loewe is going to release only a capsule again for the dragon LNY with a few more items than the previous LNY capsules, but I don't believe it will be that drastic of a change.

Something to consider! Would also love to hear what other people think!

The panda coin cardholder is definitely printed. I don't mind but for people looking for marquetry, definitely look at the panda wallets instead. I also have the compact zip wallet and its marquetry.

I agree that its like having a secret panda party for the mini flamenco which is why I thought I would leave the store with it instead of the mini puzzle. What turned me off of it when I was in store was that the printed pandas were not done well. One of the panda's foot wasn't as shiny or didn't have the same finish....like they forgot to finish him? I pointed it out to my SA and she noticed it as well but wasn't sure if it was a mistake on the crafter's part or it rubbed off?

I don't know what's more concerning that they forgot to paint it or that it could have rubbed off already if its rubbing off that quickly you may as well get the standard flamenco when it's the pandas that make it special. That makes me not want to get the CH and CCH snd worry about my lemur CCh if they could rub off like that

Your probably right I don't remember seeing much here for last new year.

Oh definitely, either option is not great. It made me concerned over my CH and CCH as well but so far, I've been using my CCH and it seems to be fine but I am pretty careful. To me it seemed like they didn't finish, because the leg was there it just didn't have the shiny finish that the rest of the pandas had.
