I got the second hand shipment for the mint puzzle... And compared it against the bo puzzle that I got from Loewe last year. It looks real to me and I'll be shocked if the dups are getting this good...
What do people think?? Does someone else have the mini mint puzzle and could do a photo compare??

My sis is on a work trip but when she’s back I should be able to take some photos! But yes it looks pretty legit!
Looks spot on to mine which came from Loewe: blue star shape on the narrow end is the same and stitching at the corners is identical; the black to mint transitions with the mint stitching thru them look the same; and the little stitch in the sub level on the back where the pieces come together.

thank you so so much. i got the mint puzzle RIGHT before i saw the posts about the dups and might have faceplanted with concern that i just spent that much money on a fake. are there any interior giveaways? (like the "made in spain" is stiched a certain way??)
i've definltely sourced a lot from the second hand market for the pieces i didn't get the first time around... and i want to have some faith that there are still good pieces out there waiting to be found!
The made in Spain tag in mine is face down (have to flip it/invert to show the printing) on the corner to the left of the loewe ghibli totoro patch. How’s the pink star on the top? Mine has the flaw where it’s slightly raised at the star tip that points towards the back of the puzzle, it was a common enough flaw that I returned a small Havana susu puzzle bc that one was worse. If you have the same lack of smoothness maybe that’s a point for authenticity?
super super - the made in spain leather tag matches, and the imperfection with the pink star is there - it lifts a bit (less to the back but one of the other points) - funny when it's small imperfections that make it feel more sound

Definitely agree, if the fakers are copying the imperfections to perfection, then no way we'd ever be able to tell. @despair photos should help allay concerns if they're also a mirror of our respective puzzles
I think I found that reddit thread about drumming up support to make fake Amazonas direct from a factory. How disturbing???? I thought someone mentioned this in the HMC thread too.

Dragging this up so I’m not off topic for the HMC thread, although I assume it’s mostly the same posters on both. Finally wore my frog flamenco to a Joe Hisaishi concert! The featured Ghibli music was Ponyo and Mononoke, but as I didn’t have the option of a Mononoke bag (hint hint, Loewe) I went for Spirited Away, and he did play a SW piece as encore! I was hoping other people had the same idea and there was a woman near me with the brown soot sprite puzzle.
I really have nothing that goes with this bag, though. The purple is quite a specific shade and the green is bright. I was trying to match this dress with the blue robes the frog is wearing but they’re not quite the same shade. (Also, the dress makes my chest look huge and matronly.
It was cheap and I got it years ago but only wore it for the first time last night. Think I’ll just let it go haha.)

It is not really visible that the color does not match perfectly!
