That's right - especially on the shoes, not on the mini puzzles though... but it was a cause of concern and made us all take out of microscopes to look at the marquetry

happened to me on the coin cardholder, the edges of the metallic stars started lifting

i have a coin cardholder from the spirited away collection, it‘s very practical (& beautiful!), but the leather is very smooth, so i do find myself handling it with care because i wouldn‘t want it to get all scratched up. idk if the leather on these ones is the same or maybe a little more grainy

You know now that you say this, I just realised that I've used my Otori mini Puzzle once... and now I'm sitting here, refreshing the HMC page wondering why I am doing this to myself.

I also have the puzzle and the kaonashi hammock and both held up very well. Even if the leather especially on the hammock is supersmooth it did not catch one scratch from traveling with me.

I am curious about this as well. I am torn between the magical sky cardholder and the Calcifer slim bifold. I’m afraid of the crystals coming off

Same!! I kinda want them even more because the crystal detail is so unique. I would think (or hope?) that if the crystals came off I would be able to send it in for repair, but that would definitely be annoying.
