This collection looks to have stitching used to solve that quality problem? I had been disappointed to have missed out on previous collaborations until I read about the quality problem. Anyway, I'm not into Howl's Moving Castle as much as the previous Ghibli films.

The colored stars issue was an anomaly for Loewe, generally their marquetry is top notch. They have used a mix of stitching and glue in all their previous marquetry work, and the pieces I own with marquetry have all held up very well so far. I returned the shoes last year because it was really quite pronounced after just a single wear, but after the repair to the soot mini puzzle's stars, there hasn't been any issues since.

I‘m sad that this is going to be the last Ghibli collection! I was sure they‘d keep it going for another year or two and do Mononoke at the very least!

I have the blue Totoro Gate Pocket from the first collection and a card holder and scarf from the second one. Howl isn‘t a huge favorite of mine so I won‘t be making a big bag purchase but I‘m hoping for a beanie or a bag charm or something to catch my eye!
