A question to those familiar with Loewe's sales in their boutiques/online store -- do they ever increase the markdown on their sale items later on in the sale? There's a sale item I'm currently on the fence about, but if a further markdown may occur, that might push me over the edge :graucho:

(If it helps, I'm in Asia Pacific, where the sale is active on their website already...)

Thanks in advance to anyone who might know! :flowers:

I don't know about the Loewe markdowns but I know that I'm way more prone to skippers regret than buyers remorse.

In addition to that you could also think about the bag. If it's very seasonal and hard to find, I would factor that in too.

But I am fuelled by years and years of skippers regret because I passed on a mint green medium puzzle. Instead of having doubts about the colour, I should have looked at the price. In retrospect € 300 was a steal :crybaby:

As far as I know the discounts are fixed. I think they added some items in the middle of the sale period last year though.

Thanks, Egel! I think it counts as a seasonal bag, though it's been around for at least a year and a half (maybe close to two?). I'm not sure if it's remained in production all this while, but the fact that it's on sale now probably means they won't be keeping it for much longer...

I know what you mean about skipper's regret, as that is what spurred me to jump on my first Puzzle after it sold out on 1 online retailer and I realised how upset I was at missing out -- but luckily the same colour/size popped up on another local site! For where I currently am in my handbag-buying life, though, I'm also wary of sales goggles (a mistake I've made before), and I have enough bags that I'm trying to add only what I really truly love... This bag definitely caught my eye way back when it first came out, but the price back then was just past what I could mentally stomach paying... which is making it very tempting now, though I'm trying not to let the sales goggles cloud my judgment either!

Oof, € 300 was indeed a steal! :crybaby: Although, on the flip side, if it wasn't a colour you truly loved and would've used, that's also € 300 you saved... :flowers: (And if it was on the resale market, perhaps it was also a risk that you dodged, given the number of fakes out there?)

Thanks, despair! :flowers: This definitely helps, it at least crystallises in my mind the price that I would be looking at if I were to jump on this... (And I wouldn't have to worry about what if a further markdown occurred after I made the purchase.) Now to decide if I love it enough and will get enough use out of it to add it to my bag collection!

If you take off the sales goggles and forget about the price of the bag before, will you love the bag for what it is priced now?

I must say that as soon as the math kicks in and I see a sign saying 50% or more off, I immediately jump to girl math and think it's a steal. Then refrain myself from buying something I don't need.

The bag was something I would love now but then I was wearing black with a tad of black sprinkled in. I was a tad younger and would jump on coloured smooshy leather now, at the time I was just starting out in the handbag world so my style choices were way more safe.

To add to the regret it wasn't a pre loved bag. It was new without any faults and sat untill the very last sale round of a department store.

Then again, I think that nobody on this forum wil ever need another bag so I always tend to leave reason out of it. It never works out. If I go with my gut I even love and wear the most out of style or impractical bags out there. Do you feel the same about this bag as you did with your first puzzle?

Which bag has caught your eye, if you're willing to share? :)

Sure thing, it's the woven small Puzzle that I'm eyeing up! I liked the treatment from the time I first saw the different woven styles come out a couple years ago, in particular in the Puzzle, so it's seriously tempting that it's now on sale!

Haha, this is what I'm trying to work out now! Been doing more research on the size and searching for more pics, etc... Truth be told, though, doing that reminded me that the colourway of the woven Puzzle I'm currently eyeing up actually caught my eye 2nd back when the woven styles first came out, iirc, behind another colourway that unfortunately was discontinued/sold out after that season's initial release...

In terms of whether I feel the same way I did with my first Puzzle, the initial stage of eyeing it at least feels fairly similar... With my first Puzzle, it was only after it sold out on that first site that I really realised I loved that particular colourway, so it's kinda tough to compare with the woven Puzzle currently!

It's definitely not a bag I need, lol, and the underlined part of your post is so true!:lol: I think I just need to work out if I love it enough that I would, say, sell off other bags in my collection that fulfill a similar role, functionally and aesthetically... I'm also thinking that I should try to see it in person at my local boutique, if they still have stock, and see what I feel about it after handling it IRL, hopefully that would help to settle it!

Oof, that's a tough one to miss out on! I hope somewhere out there, the right colour and deal is still waiting for you, though! :flowers:

You hear people say that if you don't know what to do, toss a coin and you'll get your answer. Either you are happy with the outcome or realise you wanted it to be something else. Skippers regret is the consumers version of that.

If you want to keep your collection small and avoid multiples, then it is best to see the bag in person. And to figure out if it's worth letting bags go. Which ones would have to leave if you get the woven puzzle? And how attatched are you to them?

I'm still waiting for the ideal puzzle. There is no rush and I don't want the bag just to have the bag. I really love the new taupe but don't know if the darker handles and strap are convenient because it is the most touched part of the bag, or that I would rather have a complete monochrome bag. Let's say that I am questioning this enough to know not to question my questioning anymore.
