Hi ladies, I'm considering buying my first pair of LKBennetts but never had shoes with a leather sole before. Can you wear them in the rain or if the ground is wet outside? I would be using them on occasions such as a forthcoming winter wedding but obviously can't guarantee what the weather will be like. I'm going for a closed toe shoe, most likely the sledge.

Yes no problem as long as you let them dry naturally afterwards, you might after a few wears consider adding a rubber sole to extend life, but depends how much you wear them.

I wear mine year round and they do get very very slippery it it's snowy, but other than that I never have problems with leather soles. And like the post above says, you can always have them resoled with rubber ones :smile1:

Hello, ladies! Can I just say I'm REALLY pleased to be joining the L.K. Bennett fan-club? I recently went to London and picked up my very first pair of L.K.B's at one of their flagship stores. I already wore them to my boyfriend's graduation ceremony during our London trip, and will be wearing them again to a wedding this weekend. At first I wanted a classic black or nude, but then the boyfriend pointed these out to me and I fell head over heels. :giggles:

Anywho, here we go - my first L.K.'s! These are the Shilo model in Peacock Blue crocodile. Oh, and sorry 'bout the picture overload...I just couldn't help myself! :p:D

I love this colour so much! unfortunatedly i cannot handle the heel height for a shilo!! wish it came with lower heels!

I have a pair in patent dusty rose, and they are really really comfortable, you might be able to handle them :smile1:

Have you considered the Sabira? I don't know if they make them in that gorgeous blue color, but I can find them in red on the LKB site: http://www.lkbennett.com/shoes/courts/SCSABIRA600CROC

Aw, that's too bad! I was actually really surprised at how comfy the Shilos are. :smile1: I mean, I'm used to wearing really high heels (for instance my YSL Palais pumps), but my highest heels always have platforms, so I was a weeeeee bit wary of these since they have no platform at all. But they're SO good to walk in! Fit the foot perfectly, not wobbly at all and the perfect heel-height for me. :smile1: So maybe they could work for you as well, if you tried them out? But then again, I'm quite tall, so in comparison to my height, they're not so high after all. Haha! :graucho::giggles:
