True story.....back in the late 80's/early 90's, when I was newly introduced to LV, I purchased my first mono Speedy 25 from Saks in Dearborn, Michigan.
I was so proud of that bag ( even though my ex-husband though it was gaudy...notice he is now an EX)...... I carried it, every single day, for 10 years.
I had no desire for any other purse. You could say I really got my money's worth!


She is now so beat, and the vachetta quite dirty, I can't use her anymore, canvas around the zipper is cracked.
But I'd never throw a LV into the trash.
So, she has a dedicated place in my closet, to live out her retirement.

What a beautiful memory to have for a first bag. Love it.
I hope she's having a joyful retirement!

Only if it really doesn't speak to you... If you love it, keep it. I go through phases with my stuff... I have like 10 LV wallets and I find I can not use some of them for like 2 yrs or more, but then I suddenly have this overwhelming urge to use them! Would suck if they weren't there lol

FYI: My homeowners insurance company asked that I take an inventory with receipts and they would insure it under the homeowners policy should anything get ruined via a fire or burglary. So I always keep an inventory of everything - not sure if they will replace the sale value or market value - I hope to never find out if I can help it!

I have heard some do, but mine said it wouldn't for this- they only do that for the jewelry, which I don't have a lot of since all my money goes towards purses!! They did tack an extra premium for the jewelry.

Each insurance company is different but it can be listed under your homeowners (or renters insurance) one way or another.
