Hey, everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been responding to anyone for a while. I got really busy at work after we became short staffed, then I became very ill (unrelated to any surgical or cosmetic procedures). I'll work my way through my messages and your comments after I quickly post this update:

------------------- Lip Filler at Girin

After my lips showed no signs of swelling, I went in for a lip filler consultation at Girin Plastic Surgery. I was helped by a translator I hadn't met yet, who was kind and friendly. I can't remember her name since too much time passed after I became busy and fell ill, sorry.

The initial plan, like I mentioned before, was to use filler to give my flat top lip a 3D look, but the doctor who did the procedure for me expressed concern that it might weigh down my lip lift. (I can't remember her name, either, sorry) She instead advised that I make the bottom lip bigger to balance out my face, and after some thought, I agreed with her.

She worked quickly and nearly painlessly, but there was a little bit of a hiccup. There was a small bead of filler leftover from the last time I got my lips done at another clinic about 6 months ago. It's on the inner part of my bottom lip, so when I open my mouth, it gets caught on my tooth and makes my bottom lip look a little lopsided as you can see here in the pictures. It doesn't bother me a lot since it's not often noticeable, but I'm definitely getting it dissolved before I get filler done again.

---------------‐-
NOTE: In the pictures I'm wearing BB cream, but no lip products at all. Please ignore my top lip. I had some breakouts along the ridge of the same side of the lump, so it looks a little strange. It's just healing acne, folks, haha.

Lip filler made the result of your lip lift look more natural. I think it was a wise decision to get filler in your lower lip, it looks more balanced. I also have very thin upper lip and blurry lip line. Do you think there is any way of making clear upper lip line?

Hey, everyone! I've been working my way through the threads as I gear up for the next procedures on my wishlist, fat grafting and under eye fat repositioning. I really appreciate the honest reviews and advice here, so I wanna offer up one of my own. This one is about my latest procedure, the lip lift I got at Girin Plastic Surgery.

I have wanted to get a lip lift since before I even knew what it was. My natural lips are very flat, especially my top lip, so they look a bit like duck lips to me from the side. It's as if my top lip is too long, but really it's just missing volume and an upward curl. I've had surgeries for sports injuries and plastic surgery and always had an interest in transformations and surgical procedures. Here's a list of what I've had done in Korea so far:

● Nose tip plasty on 2019/02/04 with a clinic by Gangnam Station I can't seem to remember or find, but I'm pretty sure I used DocFinder Korea
● Revision Rhinoplasty, Ptosis Correction + Upper Blepharoplasty, Double Chin Liposuction, Thread Lifting (8 threads) on 2022/01/03 with Mina Plastic Surgery via Seoul Guide Medical (also got lip and under eye filler here later via SGM)
● Lip, under eye, and laugh lines filler on 2022/12/17 with Vands in Hongdae
● Underarm botox (100 units) on 2022/12/19 with Muse Clinic
● Lip lift on 2023/05/29 at Girin Plastic Surgery

(I can make another thread about any of these other experiences, but this one will be a review of my most recent plastic surgery experience, a lip lift at Girin PS, since everything is still fresh in my mind.)

Naturally, after getting a few plastic surgery procedures under my belt, I looked into how to achieve my ideal lip and sought out a clinic. I did a lot of casual research on different lip lift methods and kept an eye out for clinics that had in-house translators. I've had some bad experiences with agencies. When I noticed Girin PS's Facebook page and recalled seeing their sign on a building across the street from where I got my lips tattooed, I got interested. I checked their website and saw that they had accounts on loads of social media platforms and a lot of content to sift through, so I felt more comfortable. It was also very clear that Girin PS is very foreigner-friendly with all the languages available on their site. With that I was ready to check Girin PS out in person, ready to bail at the slightest suspicion, but my experience was quite the opposite. I was prepared for battle, but the English Team at Girin PS made my socially anxious self feel so at ease almost instantly. Heather, the translator who set all my appointments up via Facebook Messenger, was the first to meet me after I checked in with the receptionists. She was very sweet and candid, chatting with me while we waited for a consultation room to open up since I was early. Then I had my consultation with Jade, who I really connected with since we are both from the States. She was very easy to talk to and never made me feel rushed. When I went through agencies, I always felt like we were short on time and the atmosphere was so stiff I couldn't muster the courage to ask questions. Again, I'm an introvert with social anxiety, and she really made me feel at home. I was a bit nervous about meeting the surgeon, Dr. Lee, but I genuinely felt taken care of. It's usually stressful for me when the surgeons look me over since they have to get so close to my face, but he has this sense of kindness in his eyes. It seems like a little thing, but it was a big deal for me since I've had bad experiences with male doctors in particular in the States. Dr. Lee also gave me quite a bit of his time and gave me multiple chances to ask questions. I set the surgery date that visit, because I felt so confident about how things went, and I really felt like I would be in good hands this time.

It was definitely a plus that I could get the initial part of my consultation done online via whichever social media platform suited me best, since Girin PS is about a 45 minute train ride from where I live. Unlike my experiences with the other clinics I have been to via agencies, communication was quick and comfortable. I liked that they spoke to me in a more familiar friendly manner to match how I addressed them. Again, a seemingly small thing, but formalities are suffocating for me. I always felt like I could ask them any silly question I had, which is great because I'm the kinda person who needs lots of clarification to feel assured.

Honestly, I've never experienced anything even close to this at all the other clinics I've been to, and I plan on getting another procedure done with Girin PS. I went in ready to duck out at the second I felt a red flag coming along, but I really feel like this clinic was a perfect fit for me. My lip lift is healing beautifully, even correcting the uneaven scar I had from my nose surgeries. I'm really looking forward to the final result, and I hope this review is helpful for at least some of you. I have the before, one day post-op, and 7 days post-op pictures attached. I couldn't find a clear picture of the scars Dr. Lee seems to have cleaned up, but you can see that my septum in the before almost looks crooked.

Let me know if you have any questions or need clarification. This is my first time making a review, so sorry if it's kinda sloppy. I'll be taking notes for the next one

Can you please share the price x

Thank you! Here's the scar almost a month after surgery. Do note that I have an old lip tattoo that's fading, so that's why some of the skin on my lip might look a little questionable.

I'll also attach a picture of the scar cream Girin PS staff recommended. You can find it at Olive Young for about ₩23,000.

It looks beautiful. Someone here is jealous, and the scar is top - made you look more baby faced. Careful, when people hear social anxiety etc… some like to bash.

they look amazing!!! how much did it cost?

I'm pretty sure it's not to lift the sides but rather shorten the philtrum. Also, why is this so mean..?
I am being honest.

People do procedures to look better. People have to know if the money they spent worth or not. Imagine spending so much and doesn’t improve what you wanna improve?

Just like what I am suffering now. I spent $8K on my Rhinoplasty with Girin and people are laughing at my nose now.

I think your results look really great~ It's actually because of your review I booked a consultation with Girin. Do you know of anybody who has done any of the body procedures with them? Also, how is the pricing? I'm always cautious about very foreigner friendly places in case they overcharge non-Koreans.
