Hi lovely LPers!

My mom fell IN LOVE with my Moss shoulder bag, so I gave it to her yesterday. I have enough olive-colored bags, so it was probably for the best. I still need a shoulder bag, though. I think I'm going to go for a fun summery color this time. I drool daily over my co-worker's coral Large Shoulder, so maybe that will be the one!

I own the coral and it is one of my favorites... It doesn't go with everything but it is so soft and clean and amazing... It looks great with brown or blue. Not green but even yellow. It is my favorite color in my shoulder bags.

:smile1:

The sand is very summer too... but out of all of the colors... coral or yellow is best for summer.

You're right... it IS soft and clean. And also seems to provide a bit of pop to an outfit. The Moss is beautiful, but since most of my clothes are grey, the moss color didn't seem summery enough for me.

riry, That was so nice of you to give your mom your bag!

It's all part of my evil plan... I secretly wanted to get another one of these awesome bags (they're sooo cute and comfy) in a brighter color but couldn't justify buying two of them in the same season. Problem solved!:graucho:

Hopefully, I'll be checking in soon with a new bright bag!

I think if you wear grey a lot then coral or yellow... i think the blue would be to strong and the sand would wash you out.

Let's get back to chatting about purses! :smile1:

i just returned from Nordstrom. They had one Coral Large Shoulder bag left and price-matched with Luna Boston's current sale price. I'll have to spend some time examining this one... it's been out on display for awhile. There are no scuffs or scratches, but I'm wondering if maybe it's a bit faded from the store lights.

The other option would be to buy from Luna Boston, but it's a final sale there, so that makes me wary.

Decisions, decisions...

I'm always scared to buy bags that are final sale. Since your co-worker has a coral shoulder bag, you can just compare yours to hers right?

Yes, good idea! I'm sitting at home examing my bag... the outside leather color doesn't seem to be any lighter than the leather inside the pockets. Actually, it's quite pretty. Evenly pebbled leather and no streaking that I can see.

This coral is much better for me. Today, I'm wearing dark jeans and a dark top. Without a bag color like coral, I look just like I do in winter!

that's cute... most of us do need the bag to let others know we know what season it is...:p

Not at all. Croco bags won't 'stand up' on their own.

They don't have the washed silk feel that regular Dylan leathers have, but because they are embossed (pressed), the Croco's have a little more body. Think of it like an ironed blouse vs fresh out of a warm dryer.

When new they have a slightly waxy feel, and can appear a little stiff but have a tendency to "break in", quickly becoming puddly.
A patina also develops, which is quite lovely, thanks to the excellent Italian tanning.

Can you tell I am fond of LP Croco ?

*Mentally adding my LP crocos............... =10

Is the croco leather stiff?
