Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Arts Centre (HKAC) in 2012.

2012charityscarf_2.jpg

In support of the HKAC's dedication to its role as an arts and cultural incubator and a catalyst to the creative forces from all walks of life, Hermes has personalized the Peuple du Vent ("People of the Wind") 90 cm silk twill scarf and printed it in limited edition to mark the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the HKAC in 2012.

The scarf is available in limited quantity and should be in Hong Kong shops starting today.

The above scans of the brochure show an intense orange background. The following is a photo of the actual scarf. The orange is named "corail" and should give a better idea.

Hello everyone! :) I'm a late bloomer and now am totally in love with Hermes, really appreciate their works.
Usually how can I tell if an item is limited edition (if not getting it from the H boutiques, say from resellers)? As i'm still trying to establish a r/s with the SAs =/

They usually have a designation on the scarf, for example, the name of the charity or cause, sometimes in place of the scarf title. Also, limited editions are usually only found at only one boutique or location in the world. So, for example, the limited edition Neige d'Antan does not say "Neige d'Antan", it says "Torino 2006" instead, and it was only available for purchase at the Turin boutique.

Got it! So it usually states the location. Thanks!!

Stunning thread!
I'm a H newbie and interested in learning more about their Limited Edition-etiquette. As I see from the items posted here, they've issued for everything from store openings, to Olympics, anniversaries, royal events and charities. But I wonder if it is a consequent procedure? E. g. Was there one for the London Olympics? And I saw there was a scarf issued for Charles and Diana's wedding, did they issue for Kate and Wills' too? Or, if it's only for 2nd in line to the throne, what about Swedish Crown Princess Couple Victoria and Daniel's wedding? Does the size of the market have much to do about where they issue Ltd Eds? I've also noticed scarfs honouring other products and brands - would this be something done wholeheartedly from Hèrmes side, are they rather approached, or are there perhaps even a committee receiving applications?:giggles: Very eager to learn how the masterminds of Hèrmes think and work their magic.
I hope this is not the wrong place to ask, thank you so much in advance to all you ladies making tPF the go to oracle for obsessive questions about the most fabulous things in life!
