Thank you @redheaddem and @Ladybaga for your previous help.
I now need a recommendation from your two and other scarf aficionados with respect to the giant triangle versus a stole. This would be a gift for my friend who’s always cold in air conditioned buildings. She plays the piano regularly for her church, so with that type of physical movement in mind, which large scarf (tied or untied) would be better for her shoulder and arm movements? I’m also thinking of getting her cashmere but I’m wondering if that’s too much weight while playing.
Thanks everybody for your advice.

I only have experience with the cashmere/silk 140 CSGM and the triangles (CSGT). I don’t think I see what you mean by a stole…

I do a lot of desk work and need movement in my arms for that. I would say that the freedom of movement depends more on the tie than on the format of the scarf. I wear my triangles often draped around the shoulders and it is very comfortable, but I do the same with the CSGM ( I just fold them in two, to get the triangle shape) and it is equally comfortable.

I would say the main difference is warmth, the CSGM will be thicker and warmer than the CSGT since there is twice as much fabric. Both would be incredible gifts!

The tube would indeed work if you fold it a little narrower, doing thirds makes it a little too long. Personally, I like to get an overall view of my babies, so find the rolls easy to do. Here is a picture of one of my 90s baskets. It holds 20 of the 90s and 8 of the pochettes, and each of my GM baskets holds up to 10. So lots of storage in a little space.

This looks lovely. I hang my many, many 90s and only have one GT, I need to find a way of not losing it. I try to store by format. 90% of my scarves are 90 silks. I have other formats too, but all in single digit numbers.

From what little I know with my experimentation during the last week, a Giant Triangle would be perfect. Much easier to secure, tie or drape. With the point to the back, she can tie the longer ends around her back like a cape. Her arms will be completely free (I play guitars).

You both wear that Tulipomanie so beautifully 😍 I am still on the fence about this cw but you to make an excellent argument for it ☺️
I will happily enable you and @papertiger! My wardrobe is a combination of neutrals and jewel tones and this cw has been very versatile! I find the tulips pop nicely but not excessively, and I love the white hem with dark background.

Thank you for your great suggestion. You and @redheaddem have given me the confidence to purchase a giant triangle in cashmere. I don’t live near a Hermes boutique but I’ll have opportunities to visit two stores in a few weeks. Again, thank you both.
