Hi ladies, I just picked up a duffle in marine at Macy's on black friday and I was wondering, since I live in a rainy area, should I treat the leather before I use it or is it just fine as is? I wouldn't want to spoil this beauty on my first time carrying it. I'm kind of a Coach newbie, so thanks for all of your help!!! It's my first non-secondhand Coach bag.

I recommend treating your bag with something if you live in a rainy climate. I spray all my new bags with Apple Garde Rain and Stain Repellant. (You can buy from Amazon or many shoe sellers or leather goods sellers). It will make the rain bead up, and you can just wipe it dry when you come inside. I recommend treating it regularly if you get it wet frequently.

Hi ladies...does anyone know whether Coach has fixed the corner wear issues in their latest generation of duffle colours? I am considering the midnight oak but don't want to drop the money if the corners are going to wear in the same way as my poor UV duffle did last year. :(
TIA!

Thanks so much, I will do that!

I had a Marine Duffle and sold it, and have regretted it ever since. So when a friend pointed out this one in Violet, I knew I had to have it. Violet is very similar to Marine and it's gorgeous. So happy to re-join this clubhouse!

Oh that is so pretty! When comparing to Marine, does Violet feel different? Marine can vary in softness, but mostly I find it kind of odd, maybe extra dry or something? I've never seen the violet IRL. Congrats!

The violet is on the dryer side, too, but not as rough as my Marine was, if that makes any sense?

Hi Ladies,
I have a few questions... I just got my first Duffle at Macy's today. It was in the Clearance section (for $174 plus 25% off-- so I got it for $140 + tax!!!) However, since they re-tagged it (it does not have the original Coach tag) I am not sure what the color is called and whether it is a Regular or Large. The tag they made up does not say. As a matter of fact, it does not even have the correct Style Number. It is a dark turquoise with silver hardware. It is very soft and squishy. BEAUTIFUL. I don't even care that it was probably a return... I'm guessing it could be the Tourmaline, but is there any other similar color? I appreciate your help, in advance. :smile1:

The only similar color I can think of is robin, but I wouldn't call that dark. Tourmaline is pretty deep and bright. You can tell if it is the regular or large by looking at the style number on the creed. It was probably a return since it has been a long time since Tourmaline was available. Congratulations! You got a great deal!

ETA: Based on that original price, it is the regular size.

Thank you! I'm really excited and LOVE the color. I wonder how long the person that returned it had it... and how long after a purchase Macy's accepts returns...

Macy's doesn't have a time limit on returns. They don't advertise that so most people would just assume they can't return something after they have had it awhile.

It's a gorgeous color! I still regret passing up the tourmaline Molly I found at an outlet on clearance. I couldn't really justify getting it since I had just gotten robin Courtenay.
