I agree this one is perfect. Marine can almost look black or navy, although I certainly love it. I got the large duffle in UV but like you, I found it a little too bright (and I love purple!) and returned it. So like Goldilocks, my third try is "just right"!

I've always wanted to, but I'm so (stupidly) scared of not being able to retie the tassels properly & mess them up!

You don't have to retie the tassels on the duffle! That's only a problem on bags without removable straps like Candace and Courtenay. I won't remove the tassels from those either. For the duffle, you just take the strap off, slide the tassels off and then slide them onto the strap of your choice before you buckle it on your bag.

I switch the straps and tassels on my duffle with my Patricia straps sometimes.
The straps are a little longer on Pat bag but same width and work great with duffle.
( Especially useful at sporting events to show some team spirit .)

You know you have bought too many duffles when you go to clean your closet only to find that the new lemon duffle you just bought, you already had!! Still in the wrappings and never touched yet??!!! I can't believe I have done this!!!

Lol!! I haven't quite reached that point yet but I can totally see it happening to me some day.
