LEFT: is how i double my straps..................... RIGHT: is how i see alot of people doubling theirs.

im just curious to see others response to this?? maybe its just the way you like to wear it?

Interesting to read everyone's response to this. I posted this question a while back, and I got answers (from long timers, if I recall) saying that they double their straps the way it is in your second pic. People also wrote that this was the way they were shown to do it by an SA in FP.

That said, I have always doubled my straps the same way you do. Just seemed to make more sense to me. I'm really glad to hear other people are doing this, too. I was worried that by doing it differently that maybe I was damaging the strap or the hardware or that it looked weird or something. Lol. I haven't had any problems with it so far!

I just noticed that the duffle I bought at Macy's already had the strap doubled and it looks like the way you do it.

I just saw a Mint Duffle at a local store on clearance. I haven't seen any mint for a LONG time! I have been drawn to it and am considering. It was a return but looked very nice and had a nice slouch.

If you have a mint duffle how are the corners holding up from color loss? How versatile do you find mint? It seems like it would go with a lot: black, browns, grays etc. Trying to figure out if I feel like I would get enough wear out of that color. TiA!

E/W Duffle in deep port.

Oh my goodness this is so beautiful! That's a great picture! It really shows off the color. I need something in this color! I had a Courtenay but decided it was too small. Maybe I'll break a personal rule and get another duffle. The leather in this color feels smooth and like it will soften up like cognac does. Congrats!

I have a mint duffle! I find the color to be versatile enough to go with my wardrobe. I haven't experienced color loss with the corners but then again I've only had it a few weeks and I treated very liberally with apple garde. The corners do seem to show dirt though. Most of the time it wipes off with a baby wipe but I don't think I'll always be this lucky. I will post photos of the dirtiest and cleanest corners to help you decide. I have also noticed this leather isn't a little more stuff and slightly less smooth than the cognac Molly I have (even though that one is new). It might just be the bags I purchased but I seem to recall other posts saying mint didn't slouch as much. Also Ive had no problems with denim color transfer and wear jeans almost every day. Hope this helps!

That's odd. My mint duffle is SO smooshy & slouchy.

Is yours wearing well? The one I saw was super soft and slouchy.

I haven't used it yet. (I really need to make a point to use my unused bags soon.) I went mint crazy and have only carried the Candace so far. I tend to use a Cottonelle wipe after use so dirt doesn't accumulate. I've had good luck with Cottonelle wipes... even on Vachetta. I'm too paranoid to Apple-Guard. I'm afraid I'm going to do it unevenly and destroy my bags.

Lucky! My mint duffle is slouchy but I wouldn't say it is smooshy...if that makes any sense. Maybe it's just my particular bag. Lots of people have posted about the variability of Legacy leather here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/quality-of-legacy-leathers-from-color-to-color-820695.html . I bought mine on clearance at Macy's and it was the only one there so I didn't get to test out many.
Thanks for all your input and pictures too! The one I looked at was at Macys on clearance as well and it had just been returned but looked good. The Legacy items really do differ a lot. You can look at multiples of the same bag and the color and texture can be very different.

Thanks for your input! I have a few of those bags with tags too ;)
