Now that I've seen the interview and read some other things. I am not sure if she left the church because of the church or because of the way Tom and others were getting preferential treatment.

If Tom were not around would she still be knee deep in it? Why is she still holding on to all of that Scientology paraphernalia if she is so done with it?

I thought that was weird too, but maybe its hard to let go, because it was her life for so long. On her show, she couldn't even let go of her daughter's swing set lol.

Also, maybe it all wasn't hers, maybe they borrowed it from others to use for her book research or just for the interview.

^I'm sure it is hers. She said as much in the 20/20 interview. I can't really blame her for holding on to the stuff, she paid tens of thousands of dollars for it over the years. Plus she credited what she learned from it for helping her career. She's in an awkward place in that she has left the church but she still values some aspects of it. At some point she'll probably be ready to let it go.

I give her credit for leaving COS, knowing she would forever be publicly trashed by them.

When Katie Holmes divorced Tom, I wonder how much Suri reaching school age played a part in her leaving the group. Most parents want whatever is best for their kids and look at life in a different way than before they had children. The restrictions may no longer have been something they could live with for their daughters.

I think Suri was approaching the age where she would be asked to join the church's Sea.org was a huge part of why she left Tom when she did. She knew if Suri joined she would place the church before her as Conner & Isabella did with Nicole.

I have this recorded, didn't watch yet. . .

'He's a very sweet man': Leah Remini supports John Travolta and reveals she gave 'millions' of dollars to Scientology on Bravo's Watch What Happens: Live

Leah Remini quickly has become the most outspoken critic of Scientology and the church's most prominent member Tom Cruise.
However there is one person who is openly associated with the organisation she doesn't want to criticise - John Travolta.
The 45-year-old actress was speaking to Andy Cohen on Wednesday's Watch What Happens: Live, and showed a clear soft spot for Scientology's other most high-profile member.

Cohen quizzed Remini about her numerous attacks on Cruise in her new book Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood And Scientology, while barely mentioning Travolta.
'My dealing with John - he's a very sweet man, and he loves the technology of Scientology,' Leah said supportively.
'I've met him a few times and he's been lovely,' she added.

She also told the host she has given 'millions' of dollars to the controversial church.
Remini also stood by her comments that Cruise had an 'utterly shocking' way of treating people, and also maintained that Scientology would make it hard for the actor to keep in close contact with his daughter Suri.
'The policy with the church is you can't be connected to someone who has committed a suppressive act - which I have, Katie has,' she said in reference to Cruise's ex-wife Katie Holmes.
Remini said that church policy states that followers 'have to shun that particular person' making communication with Katie and hence Suri almost impossible for Cruise

Asked how much money she has given to the church over the years, she admitted: 'Millions.'
'Over three?' Cohen asked, to which she replied without hesitation: 'Yes.'
Leah - who sipped from a wine glass throughout her interview and then did a shotski with Cohen and fellow guest Gloria Estefan - insisted that she was not afraid for her family's safety after launching her outspoken campaign against the church.

Bravo show: Gloria Estefan joined Remini on the Bravo chat show

'I had more to say,' she insisted when asked about writing the book.
Cohen also praised Remini saying: 'I think it was really brave of you to write this book. Really.
'You're so revealing for anyone who's been interested in how the religion works, and I give you credit for including what the religion did give you when you were in it. I thought that was admirable of you.'

According to multiple news articles on a recent survey, kids from this 'group' are not the only ones growing up to be snotty, entitled, anti-social, difficult little twerps. Seems to be fairly common among kids from similar, more widely accepted 'groups'.

After watching the entire interview on 20/20 yesterday I was impressed, I watched it on youtube.

I had read so much about all this that I didn't think there could be anymore for her to say.

She should be proud of herself for getting all this out there.

I'm sure she'll make a difference on others lives for the better.

She's a tough cookie, that's for sure and she's going to make a killing off this book.

It's about time the group was exposed as the cult that it is
