My 12" iBook is 11.2 by 9 inches. I have a great padded sleeve that it zips into that lets me then use any bag for my laptop, whether it's padded or not. It was like $29 at the Apple Store and is made by inCase.
According to the measurements on Coach.com, my iBook should easly fit in the large Ergo tote (13.5 x 12 x 5) - in fact it could fit in either direction. The XL Ergo tote is listed as 17.5 x 15 x 6, so it would more than fit in that bag. The scarf print hobo is listed at 14.75 x 10 x 4.5 so it should also fit in there, but would have to go in one direction and might be a tight fit on the sides. I LOVE the idea of a scarf print Ergo hobo for a laptop bag! Hmmmmm....
