LV just put the locks on randomly, they are almost never centeredHi everyone, I have never posted before and I am fairly new to Louis Vuitton. I ordered the kirigami set from a standalone store that is about two hours away from me since we don’t have a store any closer. I ordered the set over the phone from the store, they had two in stock so I snagged one. I was thrilled to receive it and see that it was made in France but after looking it over, I noticed the canvas/button on the large piece is off center. I’m trying to not let it bother me but am considering seeing if I can exchange it for another one if they get a made in France in stock. Am I being too particular or do others agree this is worth sending back in hopes of getting one more centered? Thank you in advance!
LV just put the locks on randomly, they are almost never centeredThe quality might be worse on the made in france ones, who knows. Ifyou dont have other issues I would not bother.
I get it, you want it to be perfect, but LV is never perfect. Even on their website the canvas is not always centered. If you look closely maybe the stitching is uneven, or the stitches can have different sizes as well. Its all normal for LVOops, clearly I am new here haha, I submitted an new post instead of a reply…
Thanks for the quick input! And you are right, quality is probably a gamble anywhere it’s made. For whatever reason I’ve just always liked the idea of it coming from the original location but my speedy is from the US and is in great shape. The odd thing with this kirigami is that the button clasp looks like it is in the right spot but like the canvas wasn’t cut straight or something. Again, I’m sure I am just being too particular but of course I was most excited about the large piece and it’s the one giving me angst…the medium and small look fantastic, go figure haha! Well thanks again, it’s been fun reading everyone’s input on how they use the pieces etc.
Thank you for your help! I’m just going to enjoy it, especially since it seems fairly hard to track down these days. I’m also keeping an eye out for a possible revamped toiletry 26, I saw somewhere that LV may come out with a slightly different version in May, always fun to be on the hunt thanks again and have a great Friday!I get it, you want it to be perfect, but LV is never perfect.
