Here is a pic from the reseller. It seems obvious but I wonder if this condition spreads or gets worse. I’ve seen some threads with pics of pieces with severe peeling showing the LV print peeling off. It makes my OCD kick in and I just want to peel off the “skin” and hope it doesn’t get worse. I will see how bad it actually is when I receive it. I love the smaller pieces and I would just use the biggest one as a clutch.

Hi EpiFanatic, Lovely item and color... I do see what you mean. Although it's very minor, even in the close-up picture, it can drive an OCD person like myself crazy. I am not sure if it's glazing or the paint/dye they use to make these items, it's hard to tell. It can possibly get worse, or not... I think it's all how you use it, store it and how much you use it will determine everything. If you are using the largest one as a clutch, just be careful of color transferring from your clothes (denim, black clothing that's new, red anything, etc.) and knocking it up against things. The white painting of the logos can possibly catch everything, like other colors from clothing, oil from your hands, perfume, lotion. While using the smaller ones, be mindful of the lining in the bag you put these in... for example, if the lining of your bag is suede or leather and it is dyed a bright color, or even black... it can ruin the white logos on your Kirigami pouches. Stick with bags that are linen lined or cloth lined. DON'T PEEL ANY SKIN ! Just like when you have a scab on your skin, if you pick at or pull off the scab too soon, you leave a nasty mark on your skin, let the skin/scab fall off in it's own time. Your skin continues to grow and heal itself over time, this item doesn't have the capability to regrow skin... lol. I think this item will still serve you well and will look great once you get your hands on it. Keep us posted.

Hi Raaz,
I've had my set for a couple of years now, and no problems with glazing, threading, peeling or anything. I put mine back in the box emptied, wrapped in tissue paper and then put the box in a ziplock clear baggie and store in a temperature controlled environment. I do that with all my leather items. Plus, I am kinder in handling those pieces. I use them for gum, mints, facial tissue, Bath & Body Works scented travel mini hand sanitizers, etc.. I like for all my items to look pristine.

So off topic, but I’m now obsessed with the B&BW hand sanitizers! I got some as a gift from a coworker and haven’t looked back since. I’m in the medical field so I have to use it often. I love the scents and the fact that they don’t dry my skin out.
To answer OP’s question, I have a Kirigami set in mono and I haven’t had any issues at all. I love this set so much.

Hey MahoganyQT, it's not THAT much off topic... lol. I am obsessed with the B&BW scented hand sanitizers as well. The one ounce size fits my smallest Kirigami pouch perfectly (I put the one ounce bottle in a snack size ziplock bag, squeeze the air out of the ziplock baggie, fold over and put it in my smallest pouch just in case it leaks, and to not ruin my LV pouch) and then place the pouch in my Gucci Supreme Patch Portfolio or my Gucci Supreme Patch Tote bag. I purchased over a few hundred dollars worth when they were on sale for 25 cents each and I had a few coupons to cut the cost and to add more items... lol. Didn't think that I would ever need that many, but now I am so glad I did it. Not only do I use them for hand sanitizing, I rub some in my hair/scalp and to dry my hands, I pat on my clothing... it gives me a fresh scent without having to carry and reapply cologne. (I don't like smelling like outside... something my Grandma used to say.) And it doesn't dry out my hands. I'm always complemented with how great I smell and I'm always asked "what cologne are you wearing ?" Kind of embarrassed to tell folks that I am wearing hand sanitizer ! Now you got me going off topic !
Be safe and Thank you for all the good that you are doing by being in the medical field on the front line. I am super proud of you. Glad your LV Kirigami is holding up well. What do you use LV Kirigami Pouches for ?

Thank you J!m! I had not even thought about color transfer within another bag being an issue. My speedy has a bleu de France interior, and another bag I will want to use has a black micro suede interior. Do you think those could transfer color to white canvas?

Hi EpiFanatic, and honored to serve.
Anything leather/suede and some materials dyed and has constant rubbing against something of another lighter to white color can experience color transference. I use my Gucci Supreme Patch Portfolio or my Gucci Supreme Patch Tote Bag which has beige linen cloth lining.... So I haven't experienced any color transference from the lining of my bag onto the items in my bag, or from the items in my bag onto the lining of my bag. I would try to use a white handkerchief or white face cloth and rub it against the lining. If your white handkerchief/white face cloth changes colors, it is almost guaranteed that your LV Kirigami small pouch will get another color onto the white painting on the LV monogram part. The glazing is suppose to help this from happening, but there is no telling if it will prevent color transference until it happens to your LV Kirigami , so try the test and let's see what happens before hand. Please let us know.

Hi J!m, thanks for the tips. It's a great idea. I will test it out when I have a chance, but definitely before I use my new pieces.

Hey Jim,
Thanks for the appreciation. It’s been a long and crazy month. Sometimes little things like stalking the purse forum and talking about things like handbags and B&BW hand sanitizer bring a little bit of normalcy to our collective new normal! I use the large pouch as a clutch and a crossbody. I purchased a insert from Amazon that works great with it. I use the small one for credit cards when I’m using smaller handbags. I haven’t used the medium one yet, but my plan is to use it for passports when my family travels, as I’m always the designated passport holder! We have a trip to Turkey planned for the end of July. I’m hoping that this is all over by then. Be well and stay safe my friend!

Honored... Thank you for the reply MahoganyQT. Yeah... "The New Normal". Great use of your LV Kirigami Pouches ! I don't know what I am going to use the large one for, but I now love using the small one to hold Altoids Mini Mints Tin and the medium for Travel facial tissue. I have other pouches like Burberry, Cartier, Gucci, Tiffany & Co and Thom Browne for my B&BW hand sanitizers, gum, etc. (I was just switching them around a few minutes ago, and now they are back to their prospective boxes) Today I needed to spend time with a few of my boxed luxury items... I haven't been out and about for about 24 days. It was almost like an unboxing of new items. I hope things clear up so you and yours can do your Turkey trip. Thank you for the Well Wishes, and please be safe as well my friend.
Wishing you the very best...and may all your dreams come true.

I just received the felt insert from amazon and was surprised by how easy it was to alter as the top just unscrews so I was able to move it to the pocket to prevent rubbing and still pair my silver chain from my Felicie! Here is the link to the insert Tourdream Felt Insert Organizer with Zipper for Giant Pochette Kirigami Large(Large felt insert) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TPMQ3XR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AdHJEb3HSR3NA

Please share your experiences of the KIRIGAMI set in monogram. Do they still have glazing issues. Thinking of getting one. It seems to have a great clutch and smaller SLGs for catch-all. YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE...
If you search this thread, you will see others talk about it. I had two monogram sets and there was peeling on the edges of the flap on both sets. I loved the item but did not want to keep dealing with that.
I have the escale version now and it feels different so I am hopeful it won't peel but we will see. I have not read any issues about the epi version either.
