Kim isnt a stranger to the ebay auction. Before she became famous, selling her and her familys stuff as well as other famous celebs (when she used to style/organize closets) was what she did. On the E THS she even said thats how she made her money.

True dat!!! She has been selling on eBay LONG before she was a household name! And much of the items she sells are on consignment for others. I think the fact that she gives to charity at all is something to applaud. She doesn't have to give ANYTHING.
Not to mention, these are HIGH ticket items and even at "only 10%" given this adds sometimes to hundreds of dollars on each transaction! I think it's quite generous!

well, i'm bidding on item because I like it. not for her. Glad that she donates, but honestly, it doesn't make me be impressed with her. Good for her that she donates, but like a previous poster stated lots of people donate without their face over everything and harping on the charity part.

I'm helping with volunteer efforts for the flood happening here in North Dakota. I'm not expecting praise and I'm not gonna condone those who don't. It's a personal choice and everybody's circumstances are different.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I think even without using the charity as a ploy people are still going to want to buy her stuff. At least she is giving. I saw on an episode preview a couple of weeks ago that her mom was saying her spending was out of control. Did anyone see that episode?

Her ebay store has been posted in the wardrobe section before. I actually have been watching a couple of her items in my ebay acct. I've read that she wears things 1-2x then sell thems.

I just saw that episode this weekend! Kim spent like $19,000 in one store...then Khloe hired a guy to do an intervention and Kim gave her credit cards to Kourtney, but she immediately took them back after the intervention. I could see how that amount of spending would blow through some serious money!:faint:

why does everything have to be about class?

Quite.

I'm getting pretty tired of reading the word, on this forum - it seems to be everywhere, these days and it's very rarely used appropriately, IMO.

According to what I've always been taught (and observed), people who worry too much about class (or lack of it), are very rarely.....well, I think I'd better leave it at that!

This is Ms Manners like circular logic you realize...

^ How, if I'm not worrying about (or even aware of) other people's (perceived) 'social standing', until they make me painfully aware of it via their apparent obsession with the subject?

BTW, is your username supposed to be 'bogusaristocrat'? If so, please can I ask what the significance of that is to you?

Kinda disappointed a very small portion is going to charity.
And the clothing has not even been washed. One of the descriptions says, "dark stain on side, should come out when washed."
Not too classy.
WTH!

So...they can't muster up the energy to clean the clothes? Gross. I'd imagine that they think selling items unwashed would make the pieces more appealing because they're "celebrities", right? Why else wouldn't they clean them? If you can buy a Maserati you can pay for dry cleaning...send out an assistant or something. Your filth is still filth. You can keep it.

bottom line is - she didnt have to donate anything to the charity. but she is doing it. she sells her own stuff, i cant see nothing wrong with it. she seems such a nice girl, so dont slag her off for doing a bit of charity. i will definately watch her auctions and purchase something, dont mind wearing sunglasses or bag frm kim's closet :)

i htink its kinda cool shes selling stuff... the fact is the buyers determine if its worth the price or condition or what not.. if she doesn twant to wash the dress yet someone wil buy it well then she saved herself some laundry
