Inspired by a tpfer, whose name I don’t have but very grateful that I finally have a H strap that works with my KW. Carried it yesterday to a family dinner.

It’s a 13mm reversable belt strap with mini buckle in black/rouge grenat. I also have the same strap and buckle in black/etoupe.

Hi Serva

I love this idea, thanks for the pictures! Looks fabulous!

I am wondering if you might tell me what happens when you undo the wallet? I am thinking if you are careful enough, the leather strap will stay in place and not fall out?
Another thought... do you think you could use a Kelly strap and put each clasp over the side straps? Would it damage the wallet? I don’t have a Kelly wallet so can’t appreciate how much weight/pressure it might impart and what the consequences might be. I would use put a phone and some cards and a lipgloss in the wallet, so not too heavy. I just thought it might look quite sweet. What do you think? Thanks so much for your thoughts :)

Kind regards

Hello! I’m new to Hermès wallets but am strongly considering the medium Kelly. I’m sorry if this has been discussed before but how much capacity does the medium have? I would like a wallet that can be used in smaller handbags as well. Thanks in advance!!

Thank you, I have a customized K28 strap in chevre that I tried on my KW, but it’s slightly too wide. The leather is also less soft than in this belt, In addition I like the ” verso” look the belt gives when worn like a strap. I have another combo of the same belt in black/ etoupe, so not the same look every time.

When I undo the wallet the belt stays in place, but you need to practice it. Luckily I don’t need to open it often when going to a party or restaurant for dinner. Works for me better than a farandole. At time I wear the wallet with a twilly but this is my first choice.

Sorry for the late reply, hope it helps [emoji3]

First time using my Kelly wallet - inspired by all you tpf members in here to use it as as a clutch  forgot the colour of this, but cannot say enough about ostrich leather!View attachment 4169396
mswkk your wallet is gorgeous! can i ask you a question does ostrich kelly wallets have a joint at the bottom of the wallet? in your pic I can see there is stitching at the bottom whereas in plain leather kelly wallets you don't see the stitching or a joint. your answer will help a lot! i am a huge fan of kelly wallets and i think they are the best.

Hi, yep - zoomed in at the photo and finally managed to see what you are referring to. it does exist.

Dear tPFers, I'm thinking about a Kelly Wallet... Which do you think stands the passing of time in better shape, with less visible wrinkles or scratches: Epsom or Chèvre Mysore? :coolio: TIA!
