I like the K28 retourne for travel. It fits a lot, is easy to get in and out, and I can wear it crossbody with a longer strap.

I find my K25 sellier more difficult to use and like I need to be more careful when I use it.

My vote is to stick with the size that looks most flattering on you. These H bags are too expensive for experiment, been there, done that and learned ....

Hi ladies,

I am considering to purchase a Kelly retourne bag in etain GHW. However, I am seriously struggling between the size 25 or the size 28.

I tend not to carry too many things and prefer light-weighted bag. So that would argue for a K25. I also like the fact that I can use it for both day and night. I used to have a K28 Sellier but just found it too big and I ended up selling that. For instance, I have a mini C but not have a C24.

However, I also find the K25 retourne too small on some other people’s modelling pics. I am 161cm tall for your reference. At some point in life I would also like to geta Sellier K25 so that may argue for a K28.

so ladies what are your opinions? Help/pics appreciated!

I have a K25 Rose poupre Sellier and a K28 Retourne rouge grenat. I normally carry a full size wallet, phone , keys , and maybe a few other small items and both bag sizes fit everything nicely as I don’t carry too much. I really do love both but if I had to pick one, I would pick my K25 Sellier . Hope that helps!

Thank you dear! Yes K25 sellier is on my wish list and the retourne would be considered as a casual bag for day to day. Guess maybe K28 suits more.

Same height as you. I like k25 retourne. I generally prefer retourne (unless it is her tiny sister, K20. Sellier looks good). I own K28 sellier and K32 retourne too. These two are way too big for me. Contents I carry don’t justify a “bigger” bag. And I prefer retourne due to its more casual vibe. I don’t have much formal/clutch lifestyle. Even if occasionally that I do, my Chanel medium flap will come to its rescue (Partly it holds so little - since formal event is typically short; don’t have to lug half my house out).

just for comparison, I find my c24 can’t hold enough for me (But still can make it work). That’s why I scrapped the idea of c18. It’s oh so pretty when worn; so instaworthy though (my only reasons to liking c18, but will not own 1).

A K28, at 28cm long and 22cm high, is objectively slightly more square than a K25 whose dimensions are 25cm by 19cm. The K28’s height is approximately 78.6% of its length vs 76% for a K25. However, since the bags are handmade, they tend to differ slightly and accounting for the handle can also change the squarish appearance from bag to bag.

Thanks a lot for your very detailed explanation. Hubby got me a K28 Sellier Epsom and wants to get me another one in Togo.
I want a 25 but he said it doesn't looks as good. He said 25 looks like a square..... He prefer another 28....:confused1:
