I am roughly 5’2” and a size US 4. I currently own only a B25 but went to Fashionphile to try the B30, K25 and K28. The Vert Jade is the K25.

These comparison photos are excellent.
To my eye they show that hand-held either size works well and the difference is not significant.
It is a different matter when used cross-body with a short strap.
The 28 then dominates the chest and the 25 is preferable.
If the strap were longer the bag would hang at waist level which would be a lot better. 880 shows this very well in post #5.
From a security point if view I can understand that cross-body can be a good idea. Aesthetically when bags, almost regardless of size or gender of the carrier, are across the chest, they look constricting.
Decades ago when Kellys started to be worn with shoulder straps; they hung down from the shoulder and the strap did not cross the body.
Perhaps not such a good idea from a security point if view.
This explains why the standard strap can feel short.
