Katy Perry and John Mayer sit down for an interview together on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Friday (December 20).

The 29-year-old “Roar” singer talked about how John understands her so well.

“Yeah we have a lot of fun,” Katy said. “You know, we have music as an understanding and love between each other and we connect and you know its like he understands what I do because he does the same thing. And so after a long day if it’s been tough I don’t really have to go into it he just gets it. You know, so it’s nice with that understanding.”

When Ellen asked if their new “Who You Love” music video is their response to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s “Bound 2” video, Katy said “I thought our response was a little bit more authentic because my hair was blowing in the right direction.” Lol!

*sigh* Dr Luke tweeted today that Pitbull will be featuring on Dark Horse single now. Can't say any fans are happy about this.

I can't stand Dr Luke, but with this and all the Kesha rumours out, he needs to go away!

I had no idea who dr Luke was but I just googled him. It sounds like the sad sad story you often hear about the music industry, especially with young women.

Isn't Dark Horse already out tho? Or am I confusing it with another song? If same song what does Pit have to do with it?

It's the same song, it was originally just a promo song and did quite well on the charts and radio without promo, Juicy J had a rap verse in it.

Now that it will be released as a legit single, for whatever reason they've decided to feature Pitbull on the track. (or more likely Dr Luke has decided to feature Pitbull) I'm guessing Juicy J's verse will be cut out?

Ugh. I like the song the way it is as well. Pitbull's "voice" makes me want to cut my own ears off.....:wacko:

Dr. Luke is an ***. Very much into himself.

If he is not recycling songs he is outright stealing them. It is one of the reasons Pink has never worked with him since U + UR Hand.

Speaking of stealing songs I was watching CBS This Morning yesterday and they had Sarah Barelis on. Her story was good and she talked about how similar her song Brave is to Katy's Roar. When they played both tracks, Wow! They do sound a lot alike. Sarah was professional and didn't throw Katy under the bus but she planted the seed of doubt.

Roar is a blatant rip off of Brave. But Katy is teflon right now so no one cares to make a big deal about it.

I think it is reason why they are both up for the Pop grammy. Because you cannot nominate Roar without Brave.
