During an appearance on Fridays Good Morning America, the 28-year-old singer unveiled a softer look, with minimal make-up and natural hair on the cover of her latest record.
Known for her over-the-top costume choices, this shows a new side to Katy, who is bathed in soft pastel colours as she stands in a sunflower filled field under a dazzling blue sky.

On where she is at in her life right now: Im 28, and I dont know how young you are, but, as you must know, when youre at the end of your 20s, its a very important growing time. Its called the Saturn return, if you like astrologyI know its important for me. I think that its a very important time, when you kind of let go of childish things and accept the wisdom that comes with age. Thats exactly where I am now.
On taking breaks: I make sure to give myself a break. I had to find that balance. But I learned this thing called Transcendental Meditation, which I do as much as I possibly can. Its 20 minutes and youre supposed to do it twice a day, but I only do it once every other daybut anyway, it works People say you should work out 30 minutes a daynone of us works out 30 minutes a day!
On her good pal Rihanna: I think that Rihanna always looks so fresh and Im like, How do you do that? We all know how much pot you smoke! And you dont sleep because youre on Instagram at four oclock in the morning! Ill get her secret for you.

So I finally heard this song, Roar and I dont get the fuss. The lyrics made me laugh, it has a weird non-melodic sound, and I cant even imagine how she's gonna hit the "Roarrrrr" part live. Her voice has a very strained quality on that song.
