maybe so but it seems like most of the more important figures don't attend unless they have a "horse in the game"
Kate Hudson will probably never win an Oscar. I think she's good in romcoms but I can't remember last time she had a movie out?
Maybe she needs to have her agent look at TV roles
I always wonder this too! I was under the impression that most actors don't make appearances at these shows unless they're nominated, or at least in some way associated with the nominees, and yet Kate is always there wearing something that makes everyone notice her despite having no reason to be there.

Sharon Stone used to but hasn't lately. Heidi Klum still does, Alec Baldwin's wife if she can and always and forever, Goldie Hawn and her daughter.

Having said all that, Kate really does look amazing, I can't fault her red carpet style, even if she doesn't have a reason to be there.
Yes, I agree. She's certainly upped her game since this appearance on the red carpet.

That dress would had been gorgeous on her had it not had that awful bolero on. Remove that and she would have look perfect because she has the body to wear something like that.
And the poodle hair style - awful too. She learned though.

That dress is fab. Her hair and lipstick are a bit much but it was 2001. If I saw this in 2001 I'd have loved it.
I think if we pull pics from the archive most celebs up their game with the changing of styles, access to better $tylists, keeping up w/ skincare and botox, etc. . . I hopefully have too and I don't do any procedures, loL!
