To me, it’s personal preference. My Love size is 17, but my JUC (small) is an 18…wouldn’t have it any other way!
Typically you size down on a Juc.
Yep! Super sad update…I was in the boutique on the weekend. I finally took in my Love ring to be engraved, and see if my JUC nail head could be engraved, too (since I’ve seen one of the Royals with an engraved nail head). My lovely SA ran the serial numbers of both pieces, and then very empathetically delivered the bad news. Both pieces were not authentic . I was in shock and absolutely crushed. Thankfully, my SA was amazing about the situation. We looked at the real pieces so that I could see what made my pieces inauthentic. With that information, I was able to go back to the seller and let them know my pieces were not genuine. The seller (a local company that holds estate sales) was great about the situation - very apologetic - and refunded me my money for both pieces (and they are now tracking down the original sellers).
I’m so upset! I only had the bracelet for 2 months; but the ring had been with me for years! At one point, I actually did suspect that my ring was off since the sizing seemed strange, but I was told by a boutique (not the one that I now deal with) that it was probably just an engraving error, and that it could be fixed (I posted about my ring sizing dilemma in a Love ring thread somewhere). A friend of mine told me to just keep the pieces, but I just couldn’t! It was really sad to give back the items, especially the ring, but I just had to.
Due to all of the price increases - as well as very recent purchases that cannot be returned - I’m not able to replace my exact items (my Love ring was the regular size with 3 diamonds, and my JUC was the small version with diamonds). However, I was able to use the money to replace my Love ring with a Love wedding band (rose gold, no diamonds), which I absolutely adore! I will also be adding the Clash ring to my collection (small size in rose gold, and arriving this week, thanks to my wonderful SA).
As upsetting and annoying as this situation is/was, I’m glad that I was able to get my money back; and that I could use the money to get absolutely authentic pieces from the boutique. Although these items were not something that I thought I would ever own - or at least not for a very long time - I’m really happy with my new pieces. Out with the old, and in with the new!
I hope everyone here enjoys their JUC - I’ll be admiring from afar, as I begin to save up to add them back to my collection (straight from the boutique this time!).
My original comment still stands though: Get the size and item that works for YOU! Enjoy
