just curious as to if anyone has bought a Saddle at Hermes before?

Just wondering since I'm more likely to buy a saddle than a birkin.

Loved that comment and can completely relate to that statement...seems to be a better fit for our lives at this time also.

Was in Boston and stopped by Hermes last week...saw a lovely saddle and my dd and I so admired it. I noticed they put a price sticker on it. I was surprised as I've not noticed price tags on too many other Hermes items in their stores. (it was only my second Hermes store visit also...) I was taught as a child if I had to ask what the price was on a item in a store I couldn't afford it and I've carried that mentality over to adulthood. :shame: (I will almost never buy something if I have to ask the price and have to ponder if it's affordable) I either buy or don't. :sweatdrop: I do remember thinking ...it wasn't a bad price for that beauty!

DamierLover I feel its a better investment as it will once I get a new horse be something I sit on everyday.

The adverts in the equestrian magazines feature a huge orange box so it should come in one imho false advertising and all.....

I rode once in a Hermes saddle, which was very comfortable. It was made to measure and been in use forever, so it was softer than any other saddles I've tried. I jumped with it too, but in that saddle the seat was too deep for me. Also kneepads were bit too small, but of course you can order one as you wish. They are quite pricey...:hs:

Hi everyone,

If anyone is interested, just wanted to let you know I think I saw a Hermès saddle at the H. boutique in Neiman Marcus, at Somerset Mall in Troy, Michigan. Not sure if it's still there, but I know I saw it there recently.
