Not sure I'd spend money for a different gold treatment inside a ring, where it can't even be seen. If he hates shopping, why not just measure his finger and get something for him from a jeweller with a return policy? That way, he can try it on at home and you can get something else if he hates it.

True, I know I'd only be getting the more expensive one because I love it - I've talked him into coming ring shopping on Wednesday so wish me luck ;)

I got my fiance to the jewellers yesterday to go ring shopping and I was suprised but he picked out a 3.5mm 18ct white gold band. He only has thin fingers and its a very plain dome style and only cost $485. So, its ordered and we are all set for the wedding on 15 Dec

your e-ring is very pretty!
I cant help with the Hubby advise as mine actually wears his more than i wear my rings! We got ours made and he was pretty specific about it (plain white gold band but its pretty thick) ...

congrats, it sounds lovely!!! please post pics when you get them!

as far as your future DH's wedding band, i'm sorry i can't offer any advice... mine was very active and involved with the search process, as he was very specific with his also... the one i actually liked better on him, he didn't like, so i think it's a very personal decision... it would be best if he goes ring shopping with you!

Thanks everyone, I'll be sure to post pics when I have the rings.

nyc_cady - yes it was hard to find a ring for my 3 stone as it doesn't sit flush but close enough for me. Also, I couldn't get anything with too many diamonds becasue my engagement ring is already tiny and everything I tried on just took away from my engagement ring. So, I found the micropave ring worked the best. I'm not sure of its thickness but I think its only around 1.7mm.

Here's my engagement ring and 2 wedding bands. I decided that the tiny micro pave band (1/2 eternity style) was a bit thin by itself so I decided to add a plain 2mm 18ct wedding band to make a little stack. I think it looks beautiful but nowhere near as big as everyone else's wedding sets on here. The total cost of my three rings was under $2,000.:smile1:

So pretty!

I think the engagement ring and diamond wedding band look very pretty together, with or without the plain band added. Would be interesting to see a pictures of the engagement ring with just the diamond band and with just the plain band. Might be fun to switch them off or wear all together sometimes.
