Hi there,
I bought recently a AW on ebay. Unfortunately, only after doing the payment, I contacted the Forum on the "authenticate ..." thread, posting the bag's photos. I was told that the bag is fake and I was recommended to create a new thread here to ask help. So, I didn't receive the bag yet, can I do something or it's better waiting for it ? I didn't know what to do, I'm really worried...
thank you...

Is this the original listing?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALEXANDER-W...acat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=150943326486&_rdc=1&nma

If so the seller states that she takes returns.......despite what it says on the details page.
Have you contacted her? I would be proactive and tell her not to ship the item and give her a chance to refund you. If she doesn't cooperate then contact Ebay and ask them how to proceed. I am not familiar with UK policies. But if the listing said she takes returns then she would have to take the item back for any reason.

thanks for the answer. Yes, that's the original listing. She/He (he is a professional seller) marked the item as "dispatched" on sunday, 18th november. I discovered the bag is fake a few days later, so I didn't contact him : Should I do ? I didn't see he accepts returns...And to complicate : the seller is from UK, but I live in France...

On the first page of their listing you should see this
Shipping
delivery
payments
Returns : Accepted

They may have printed the shipping label on a Sunday, but I don't know if any post office ships on Sunday.
I am only familiar with US Ebay, so I am not sure of Ebay/PP policies elsewhere. I know that in the US a seller a seller would have to ship with Signature Confirmation due to amount the bag sold for. Did they provide you with a tracking number?

that's another problem. I contacted the seller on monday to ask the track number, and he never answered. So, do you think I must contact him now to ask a refund and open a claim?

As it is going to have to go through Customs, Ebay may not let you open a claim for Item Not Received just yet.
Since I think you can only file one claim, I would wait a bit. Try and contact the seller again. One of the biggest mistakes many buyers make is that they panic and file too soon and/or for the wrong reason. if you file now for an INR and it shows up I am not sure if you would be allowed to open a second claim for SNAD. I would wait and file with Ebay rather than PP.

thank you! So, I will wait to have the bag before opening a claim. Meanwhile I will contact the seller again to ask the track number and some informations about the postage...I will let you know. Thanks again, you're very kind and it was very useful to speak with you!

I agree. I think you can turn an INR into a SNAD but it is a little messier. I know it is unsettling to be waiting for a bag that you know is going to be fake. But you have 45 days to file a claim and buyer protection is on your side so you should have no difficulty getting your money back.

Once you receive the bag tell the seller you would like to return it for a refund purchase price plus original shipping. If she agrees, you don't need to file a claim. Make sure you do all your messaging through ebay. Send it back with signature and insurance.

Once you have your refund, you can decide on the appropriate feedback to leave.

thank you for your advice! I will do this. And yes, It's frustrating to be waiting for a fake bag!! This is my first and last time I bought an expensive item on ebay.
