Yes, it seems to be the same size, not as structured, a little softer, but the same size as the mini rectangular.
No way. I've been searching for a yellow bag too (more lighter yellow). It's just a HAPPY color. Nothing is quite like a pop of yellow to go with summer dresses. Yours is perfect. Enjoy.

I’m currently in Paris and stopped into the Rue Cambon location wanting to pick up a wallet. Well, got the wallet and impulsively purchased the 23A brown 22 bag. It was instant love when I tried it on.
Yes! Yellow is such a fun color for summer. That chevron mini is gorgeous inspo! I’m a big fan of both yellows.
As someone that detests neutral colours, I love how bright and cheerful Chanel yellows can be! I have been constantly looking for a model that I love in a bright yellow, but no luck so far (doesn't help that I don't like flaps and reissues).
The 22A yellow (not sure if it's only one, looks like there might be two distinct ones?) is not looking quite as bright as other, but honestly is all by pictures, past and present! Looking forward to checking it out in a boutique
